My dear (nearly)27 year old sister is finally getting married after 10 years with her fiance and a 8 or so year engagement. She was so excited when she got engaged years ago and started planning, trying dresses etc. For some reason her fiance held off the marriage. He was up for a small wedding in a registry office I think, but she does not do anything by halves and wanted her dream fairytale wedding. I don't know the full story, but since he was putting it off she took off her ring and everything. She has been pretty down about not being married the past few years since shes a real girly girl and was sooo excited when she was planning it. This is why I felt super bad when I announced a few months ago that my fiance and I had set our date and would soon start planning. She was really lovely about it and actually started making a scrapbook for me and has come up with loads of good ideas. Anyway, she called me up the other night saying that her fiance/bf said that he is going to give in and let her have her dream wedding and he would really love to do it now. I was sooo happy to hear it. I was kind of dreading how she might feel on my big day if they still hadn't tied the knot, seeing as i'm 6 years younger, but now their date is 8months ahead of ours so it all works out fine :D We are soo excited planning both our wedding together, she should join here soon me thinks :) X

Yay for your sister. I hope the planning goes well. My brother is getting married 2 years after me and I'm having great fun discussing weddings with him. He's bringing his B2B round next week, when he's back from base, so that me and her can talk wedding too. She's very much a girly girl so her's will probably be quite fairytale too. xx

Aw thanks everyone :) Yeah we are having lots of fun but I have loads of uni assignments and its hard to concentrate on them now! Thats sweet your brother is so involved Mara, normally the guy just likes to sit back and give a yes or no to things haha x X x
