You would think that the thought of being in a wedding dress in 7 months would spur me on but the fact is I just can't get into tw swing of a diet! I do plenty exercise the now but then I will eat rubbish and undo my hard work! I just can't eat normal at all and I'm fine all day till I get home then I just graze Constantly on cr*p!!! What can I do? I'm constantly hungry or at least I think I am! I do try drink more water, have a cup of tea instead but I can't help myself and reach for the chocolate or crisps!

i know exactly how you feel!!! i have a eating problem as i just can't stop. i can eat even when i'm full. my suggestion and it's not one the family likes is don't buy any snack products unless it's something you don't touch. but even that doesn't work for me as i find myself taking myself to shop to binge out :/

I also know how you feel! It's really hard to find the motivation. You need to distract yourself when you want to eat and you don't need to. Focus on something else and try and forget about eating. I'm a boredom eater and it's been really hard for me to say 'no you don't need to eat this'. It's especially hard when you don't see results, it just makes you want to give up.

Yep, 3 meals a day which are usually pretty healthy! But it's the inbetween that gets me! I can also eat when I'm full and the harder days are when I'm off work. I just wish I could feel even a little good about myself. :(. I felt great at the time of buying my dress and I felt great when I looked at myself in it, I'm actually freakin out that I will jut look terrible now!

Have your tried keeping a food diary? I couldn't understand why I was not losing weight, then I realised that I was probably eating the same amount of calories on grazing and snacks then I was as my three meals. It really helped me.

Also, make sure there is as little as possible unhealthy food in the house. If you are going out, try not to take money out with you so you can't splurge on snacks, or just take only the money you need. I'm a b****** for not being able to walk past a bakery without stopping for a sausage roll if I've got a few coins in my pocket.

Everyone has unmotivated times - I know I do.

    Xx

Try maybe having 5 meals a day rather than 3 so your not snacking. Def write a food diary so you know where you are going wrong. If you can't help snacking, try swopping your snacks for something better. Have you thought about SW or WW or RC try motivate you as you have to stick to calories, points etc.

I know you want to lose weight but if your not in the 'right frame of mind' to do it then you won't. I see it all the time as a PT, people want to do it but you can usually tell the ones that have not got the full motivation to do it. Some thing needs to 'click' in your head or scare youself to doing it.

Keeping a food diary definitely helps! I struggle to stick to it for long though I have a bad day and give up or have too many bad days and think it's pointless, Vickie is right though you've got to really want it. For the last few months I've wanted to lose weight but didn't want to change my eating habits, which got me nowhere.

Taking a good look at what I eat and changing it up a bit has really helped. I used to eat a white roll for lunch but now I eat wholemeal bread. Snacking on difficult to eat fruits like apples and peaches have also made a big difference for me, it's a sweet fix that takes ages to eat and is low calorie.

I know exactly how you feel hun, i have my wedding in 11 weeks and all i do is eat c**p. I joined slimming world buying a 12 week countdown and still can't get motivated. I just don't know what is wrong with me, start my dress fittings in 2 weeks too so you'd think i would get motivated!!

I think we just need to get rid of all the rubbish from the fridge and cupboard and try to stock up on healthy foods. If I can't have crisps and biscuits neither can h2b or my son lol xxx

I always have a light breakfast and dinner, then go mad on the monster munch when I get home, the boy has said we're not buying them anymore becuase i just eat them all one packet after another ):

When I lived on my own, it was so much easier to manage my eating, as if I didnt buy something naughty, then the temptation wasnt ever there to eat it, Id just make sure I was always stocked up on salad and fruit to graze on instead.

Admittedly, I am really lucky with my weight, as with me its only really alcohol that makes me put too much weight on, and I dont drink that much anymore anyway.

I did put over a stone on once though, and what spurred me into action was those god awful 3 way mirrors in a clothes shop, I despsied what I saw so much that I started the diet the next day and stuck to it. I stayed behind a corner when the butty woman came mid morning, took 3 tangerines to eat instead of the usual flapjack for the mid morning munch and took myself a cheese salad every day for dinner, and at tea time I had a baked potatoe. It was AWFUL the first few weeks, but its probably the most dicaplined Ive ever been, Ive always been a grazer too, especially when Im bored

Since then though, and that was yeaaars ago, ive never really missed choclate, the cravings for it kinda just went away, and although i do like the occasional choccy treat its not very often, crisps are my weakness now!!!

Crisps are the worst. I love anything salt and vinegar flavour and can easily eat pots of Pringles like no tomorrow but there's like 500 calories in HALF a tube! And when you're trying to stick to 1200cals a day it really throws everything out. Damn tangy deliciousness.
