I am a dance teacher so I am choreographing our first dance, but sadly H2B has no rhythm and about 12 left feet so really have not much of a clue. We are dancing to Snow Patrol Chasing Cars so hopefully i can just guide him round!

Yay well done you! We are doing the quickstep to Frank Sinatra's I get a kick out of you. We are taking dance lessons but unfortunately we have to pay for ours.

Our dance teacher is ace though so we have a laugh and we have been picking it up well. I would say the amount of time you need depends on your ability to pick it up. Our teacher was saying we are doing really well as in half an hour we had picked up the basic steps and could move around the bend where as she has had couples that can't do that after 3-4 lessons. I would give yourself loads of time before hand to learn if that is what you want to do so there is no pressure on you and you can use the rest of the time to perfect it so by the time you come to do it you dance naturally to the music rather than counting 1,2,3,4 as you go round.

I'm the same. We are going once a fortnight at the moment and I can't wait for tomorrow to learn some more. Which dance are you learning at the moment? Do you find you go through all the steps in your head during the week so you don't forget them? We don't have much room at home to practice :0(

Yeah I have to admit there is one thing doing the dance and another to doing it to the music. I think when we go tomorrow we will be able to do it better now that we are not concentrating on which foot to move where.
