... we have just come back after some cake tasting and discussing our cake ideas with the lady that made our Engagement cake.
I am chuffed!!
We have gone for a 3 tiered square cake that is angled. Top and bottom tiers are ivory, the middle tier (hopefully) cadburys purple. Top tier will have a butterfly wire cake topper (which the cake lady will also make for us!) with dots cascading down from the top and the side of the top tier The ivory tiers will have purple ribbon around the bottom The purple tier will have ivory ribbon around the bottom Ivory butterflies with purple glitter on the butterflies body
3 different flavour tiers ...
Bottom = Chocolate with white and milk choc chips Middle = Vanilla Top = Banana and toffee.
We even got to taste some cup cakes in different flavours and I thought we would have 3/4 cupcakes to taste. Well, after the 3 we tasted we have still come home with 9 other cupcakes!!

We nearly went for Lemon as I love lemon cake but H2B doesn't so I said as he liked the banana and toffee so much we could have that instead if he would prefer.
I feel as though we have wasted a layer in going for vanilla but my opinion was that mixed with booze people may not want a more flavoured cake, plus not everyone is adventurous with cake lol!

That sounds lovely! You're making me jealous... we're just going for sponge cakes from M&S, but I love the idea of banana and toffee. It sounds devine.

I can not wait foir my cake tasting. Eventhough my Mum id doing the cake she still wants us to have the experience of tasting. She makes a really gorgeous Guiness Cake. Sound wierd but it is fab. Also trying Carrot cake, devils, plain and whatever concoction she fancies. nomanomanom.
