Went to the Drs this morning to see about coming off the depo and onto the pill.

So excited.... Okay we dont plan on trying for/having a baby til this time next year but it's the beginning of our baby journey!

I really did marry my Mr Wright and we had a nice day for a

The GP said its a lot easier to conceive after coming off the pill rather than the depo.

I wish we could just get on with i now but I havent been in my job a year yet and also there's saving up (again!) to do :o(

Indeed it will be worth waiting for. We have people saying to get on with it now etc etc - plus hubby is 40 too so ppl saying get on with it now before its too late :o(

You do it when your ready.... my cousin got married last October and they have been trying since but she is so focused on falling pregnant it is taking over their lifes, she is mid 30's and he is nearly 40 so they were keen to hurry up.... doctor told her to calm down and relax and it will happen naturally when it wants too when she is less tense and under pressured xxx

When I fell with my first (totally unplanned), I had been on the pill for about 3 years, was staying with the ex and had not gotten round to getting a new prescription (he lived on the mainland and I lived on the IOW), and I fell in the first month of coming off it, so you never know.

I had been on the pill for almost 4 years, had 2 days of throwing up over new year and Matthew arrived in October so it can happen he's 22 now I don't call him unplanned just a surprise

It does happen indeed my h2b ex wife fell pregnant with in 2 weeks of coming off the pill with both of there kids xx

I fell wile on the pill the 1st time.. very unplanndbut very much wanted.lol Then the doctor said it would take at least6 months 2 have my 2nd after coming off the pill.... i fell within 2 weeks i'd say.lol So u never know wot will happen hun, just enjoy trying!! xx

Main piece of advice Nina, don't plan it, let nature take its course and when your ready just come off the pill and let the fun begin! Don't stress over it and think every week am i/arent i etc, cause you've probably seen from people you know, it happens when you least expect it or aren't officially planning!

My OH's best mate got married in May, they'd been trying for 3 years but no luck, they are now expecting in March, the de stress and relaxation of their honeymoon did something right!!

just enjoy the practicing and fun bit of it and it'll happen when it happens!! :D how exciting! xx

The moment you're off the pill you can definitely get pregnant, I know a lot of girls that got pregnant after just a couple of missed pills. Being on the pill does not affect fertility, so you don't need to worry about that.

It doesn't affect fertility Samantha - but it does take time to get out of your system, especially if you've taken it for a while. Also, age and weight play a big part as well.

I fell pregnant with my son (now nearly 19) when I was 21 (with my ex)- and within the first month of being off the pill. I'm now 40 and husband is 34. We've been trying since July this year, but I've been on the pill (give and take the odd month) since my son was young (with a short spell on the mini pill in between). I'm overweight, and also given my age, I've been told to visit the GP again if nothing has happened after a year of trying.

Things seem to be 'normal' (ovulation happening etc) but it's just a case now of staying calm, not letting it take over our lives - and practice ;-)

I can't wait to start trying with H2B after the wedding. Well, I can't wait to start having some fun and enjoying and hopefully it'll happen in about 6 months after the wedding.

my depo didnt come out of my system after 2 years and had to go through a year of tests to be given clomid to conceive my 2nd which happened first time yaaayyy :) hope its all goes well for you x
