I cant believe she went on a £1k bender! Jesus what gets into some people.
Is there money available for an M&S cake? Decorate it yourself with some ribbon? Or could you explain to your cake lady the predicament and come to an arrangement? xx

a 1k bender?!? How is that even possible :o If it comes to the worst and he doesnt pay, could you get a credit card for the time being? I know it's not ideal, but if you have specific dietry requirements, would that be an option D: Good luck selling your bits and bobs, hopefully that will help. what about one of those money lending places like wonga or whatever it is? Even less ideal than the credit card... you may have to decide whether it would be worth just cutting your losses, losing the deposit and finding a new cake, as already mentioned (even if it's jut for show). I wouldn't let him off the hook though, he'd be making up the losses for that deposit, even if I had to go round to his house and take his bleedin' tv!!
Either way, even if I didnt uninvite him and he finally came up with the money, he wouldnt be walking me down the aisle due to being a massive dissapointment and causing unnecessary stress. Hope you can figure something out. And let your mum tear him a new one!!

I know a 1k bender, how can you even drink that much? I just would not be able to justify that much money, i cant even justify 100 quid on a night out. Yes i would be letting him know what a disappointment he is and telling him how much he is stressing you out just before the biggest day of your life x x

Aww hun, don't know what to say. Sometimes people let you down at thee most innaporpriate times!! x

1k! Seriously how does someone drink that much. Sorry your dad has let you down. I agree with the above, can you get a credit card? Could you get an M&S cake so there is one and not have any yourself (I know not ideal but at least there would be a cake).
Hopefully your Mum might have some ideas too.

Wow what a let down! I don't know what to say about him hun! As for the cake, could you maybe get in touch with the cake maker and tell them what has happened? They may agree to do a deal with you such as signing a contract saying you will pay so much of the cake off over a number of months, or even just that it will get fully payed off within 2 months after the wedding. If it is a signed and written contract between you both then it would be legally binding, so they wouldn't lose their money and you would still get your cake. They may not agree to do it but it couldn't hurt to ask? xxx

How much is left to pay? I'd carry on and let him come to the wedding then make an announcement that unfortunately you and h2b will be cutting through a French fancy because the father of the bride has failed on the one thing he offered to do.
Is there no way to get the money back for his suit to pay towards it or anything you can take to cash generators?
