Text martyns bestman to see when he is coming over as we have not seen him since the be begining of March. Well i got a message back '' well we are getting married on the 3rd of september this year and have loads to plan with the wedding less then 4 months away'' I text back '' So are you coming over this weekend then'' I got a message saying '' well no I wont be over till after our wedding'' then '' Oh i ment WE wont be over till after or wedding.
Martyn has been trying to ring him and he refused to answer the phone and then turned it off.
Martyn has said he is going to look for a new bestman now as he is fed off trevor taking the peee

That is just ridiculous! They have major issues and it is not really a nice thing to do for anyone never mind a best man! Trevor needs to reassess his friendship with him as it does not sound like he is a good friend!!
i cant understand that! he isnt going to be planning the wedding constantly for 4 months! he should still make some time for his mates!
and anyway as everyone on this site will tell you it the ladies that do prob 95% or more of the planning.
i would tell your h2b to text him and say congrats and i know you are going to be busy which is why i think it is best if i get another best man as you clearly dont have the time for me at the moment or something along those lines xx

Martyn and trevor have been friends for 8yrs. I have been friends for 4 years and he has been with this thing that he calls a gf since november. They want to buy a new car buy a house get married and she is pregnant and do this all in a year. I dont think that will happen on one persons wages

Sounds like she is defo pulling all the strings, I would say cut him some slack, he probably has a hormonal woman in his ear and would really love to come over but it is easier to keep her quiet even if itis letting down your OH. I doubt he really means it, more like she has made him write that text, saying that your OH should understand. You know how it is. I say give him until HIS wedding is over and then make decision on his BestMan credentials! x
Send a text back saying somethng like, Yeah I know it is hetic at the mo, no probs if you do happen to get free give us a shout, if not we will go into plan mode after your wedding, lets make a date now so we can put it on our calendars" Trust me, this will make her blood boil!

Thats ridiculous... she's just stopping him coming. Honestly... how much is there still to plan with only 4 months to go? (Unless it's last minute). You'd make time. Keep your chin up hun, and find a new best man (and mate) for your man x

I haven't read through all of the posts - but we only started saying no to social things this month as we have the wedding and hen & stag dos, so only had two weekends free to do final stuff which I thought was pretty reasonable, especially as up until last week we only had weekends togther as Dan worked away during the week.
I really do think that it's the gf that's preventing him see you, but also think that a new best man should be appointed as he is obviously loved up and doing whatever she wants. xx
