Talking to Stressed to max, gave me an idea for a thread before i go off to bed.

Im a smoker, now dont know how many smokers we have here,
but was wondering when will you have your last Ciggie on the day??

Before you get dressed, or will you have to have them right up to getting in the car to keep ya nerves down??

I think if im honest i will HAVE to have one just before getting into the car then spray myself all over with a lovely body spray...then chew gum or have an extra strong mint.. My nerves will be shot away!!

I'm staying at the venue so I will be having them right up until the guests start arriving I think, and even then I might have to "go for a drive" to have another!

she'd make you wait for photos on YOUR day? I'd be telling her the photo is NOW, if you'd rather smoke your fag, go for it, you're not in the photo....

i will be smoking right up to the church probably, im a nightmare when i am nervous. Who's going to hold them while your doing the ceremony though??

Agree with Becca. Smokers most of the time dont realize that it really stinks... clothes, hair, skin.... cant really cover it just in perfume.

must admit i was nearly on the verge of a panic attack i was that nervous .i was shaking sooo much and my brother who gave me away said it felt like i was hyperventilating...i was nervous so much it hurt my chest lol

Think I will just have a couple in the morning before I get into my dress and then wait until after ceremony and wedding breakfast etc. H2b doesn't really like me smoking so I will keep it to a minimum for his sake! But saying that if I am stressed out I think I will find it hard to resist!

Honestly i think i'll smoke all day but i really need to quit, it's far too expencive and now i'm just waiting for that day when i go 'i don't want it'.

I smoke too as does most of my family, my h2b smokes and a fair few of his family smoke, however i do agree with some of the girls,the people who dont smoke will obviously smell the ciggy smell alot stronger than someone who does smoke and so i feel that when i'm walking down the aisle i dont want the first (or 2nd) thing they notice about me is the fact i stink off ciggys or too much perfume and make them feel nauseated but i know i'm going to struggle with nerves and will want to smoke loads, is there another way without quiting (cannot quit atm because i've been smoking 8yrs "wow thats alot for my age" and with other reasons it'll be difficult)? xx

im gonna have one on the morning before my bath (well prob about 4) then get my hair make up done, get in my dress in the car for 11am and then off to the venue for 12.10... hopeing i wont have time to need a fag as i will be tooo busy.... i will wait till we leave the venue at 10pm for my next ciggie..... just because i dont want any piccies of me with a ciggie in my hands lol and if i had 1 i can guarentee someone would snap it !!

Good point Halloween_Bride, i should take that into consideration really bcoz like you say its our day and besides i've smoked for so long tough if they dont like it, i just seem to be bothered about other peoples opinions instead of thinking it dont matter what they say x

I agree with becca... a smelly bride can be offputting but again just my opinion as a biased non-smoker. I also dont think it looks nice during the reception seeing a bride with a fag in her mouth. We have friends who are smokers and they are watching all these wedding programmes with me and are quitting before the big day as even they dont agree with how it looks. Sorry but just an opinion. Crocodillo has the right idea.... be super busy so noone snaps you in the act

im a smoker and my h2b is as well, i will have a few in the morning then wait until we get to the reception to have another, but have already bought mints for this occasion ha ha
