    Hey Ladies.

I started putting all my change that was in my purse into a bottle and after only two weeks I have just been to the post office and changed £80 worth of change :)

Doing it this way I don't miss the loose change and I find it a easier and quicker way to save up. It's a bit extra from the same amount getting put away from wages every month.

Just wanted to share my wee tip with you all and hopefully it will help some of you girls save a bit extra too.

    :) x

Iysblanc, I have been putting 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p & 50p in the bottle, I use on of they big water bottles you see in offices and other workplaces. I have a tereamundy pot too, in there goes £2 & £1. That is the honeymoon fund, as we have a while till the wedding hopefully the pot will be nice & full by then :) x

We've got one of those money boxes that you need a can opener to open - and we've been putting 10p, 20p. 50p and sometimes £1 and £2 (when we're feeling generous lol). It's nearly full so it'll be interesting to see how much is in there.

We've also got one of those oversized plastic 'lager' bottles and we put 1p, 2p and 5p in there - but we've been saving in that one for months and not even a quarter full yet, so a long way to go yet lol.

i have done this for a few years, i collected about £400 towards my holiday last year, this year i have started putting all my 5p/2p/1p in a different pot to put in my new grandsons bank account, i am hoping by the time he is 21 he will have a nice little sum in there just from my small change :) x

MrsSnedden2B - that's why we bought one of the boxes that you need a can opener for, or else we'd be delving into it as well lol. You can pick one up cheap - we got ours from the local pound shop.
