as for the soup thing lol its been a bit of a god send this winter as i was fine with SW in the summer all the fruit and salad etc but had a bit of a doubt over whether it would be as easy in the winter which t is but u have moments dont you lol so i brought a slow cooker. Me and H2B both work in the day so its easy to prepare and switch on then let it cook away whilst we are out the house xx

Well girls I lost 1lb in my first week so its a small step in the right direction. I was slightly gutted but I do now feel really positive and am going to get going on it.
Can I also say that this thread is being a real help too as I really don't feel alone all week trying to do it. Thank you all. And long may this thread continue! xx

Well done hun, and don't feel too bad - in general I only tend to lose about 1lb a week, but I was told that the weight didn't jump on, so don't expect it to fall off! It's about losing it healthily, changing your lifestyle so that once the weight is off it will stay off. Again, well done :) x

Makes 4 Servings of Hunters Chicken Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 35 minutes Total Time: 50 minutes Ingredients:
Preparation: Heat a large, deep frying pan, sprayed with fry light, on med-high heat. Season the chicken with 1/4 teaspoon of the salt and pepper, and add to the hot pan. Cook until browned, turning, about 10 minutes. Remove chicken and reserve. Add butter to the pan and reduce the heat to med-low. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Raise heat to med-high, and add the mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are browned, about 5 minutes. Add flour and garlic, and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the white wine/vermouth, and bring back to a simmer. Add the stock, tomatoes, thyme, pepper, and the remaining salt. Add the reserved chicken and any juices. Reduce heat to med-low and simmer, covered, until the chicken is done, about 10-12 minutes.

looking forward to hearing about the diet coke chicken, i fancied doing that. we went to a carvery last night allowed myself all my syns for roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding and gravy, my plate was piled with loads of lean meat and vegetables, added 4 small potatoes and 1 small yorkshire, got to the table and sat down, and didnt even fancy the potatoes and yorkshire, how bizarre is that, was quite happy to sit and eat the meat and veg, and i had been looking forward to the potatoes and yorkshire so much too :) x

Not sure hun to be honest i only had it as my mate is vegetarian and she did a bolognese for me i guess stating the obvious and sorry for that it would be a case of reading ingredients on both and seeing if there is anything in it that is the same.
Watch the hidden syns with carveries some add butter to the veg to give it the shine and a lot add lots of fat and oil to the meat to prevent it from going dry when it is cooking i used to go to a Toby carvery here but they inject the meat with fat ewwwwwwwwww so just because it didn't sound nice more than anything we stopped but there is a gorgeous carvery in Wales i would live in if i could lol

This is the article about flexi syns
At Slimming World we don't recommend that you save all your Syns up for the week, just so you can have a few drinks on a Saturday night. Depriving yourself throughout that week is like putting yourself in a tight corset. Before Saturday night arrives, that corset could well have been flung off, and your eating plan been pushed aside for the week…then the month… then the year.
Food Optimising means that you can allow yourself a flexible Syn day once in a while, and not have to save up Syns beforehand, or deprive yourself afterwards.
eg You’ve arranged to go out for a Chinese with some friends on Saturday night.
Ask yourself the following questions: 1.What would I normally choose to eat (remembering those little extras)?
Chicken and cashew nuts with rice, and prawn crackers. Ask yourself…
* Are you happy with boiled rice for Free or would you choose egg fried rice (which adds 4 Syns for an average portion)? * How many prawn crackers (count ½ Syn each)? * Would you want a starter or a dessert… can you resist the duck pancakes? (I can’t!)
2.How does that work best with Food Optimising?
* On an Extra Easy day, boiled rice is free and your chicken and cashew nuts would be 8½ Syns. * If you're likely to eat 12 prawn crackers (they’re so moreish!), allow another 6 Syns. * And a portion of Peking duck and pancakes adds 30 Syns (15 if you’re sharing!) * If you forgo the dessert for the fortune cookie add 2½Syns
Your total so far: 47 Syns 3.Have I included drinks for the evening?
If you drink alcohol, work out what you're likely to drink and the Syn value. Don’t put that tight corset on and underestimate what you'll want. If you’d normally drink three 142ml glasses of red wine, include an extra 15 Syns. We’re going for the spirit and diet mixers:
* 3 x Malibu and diet coke adds 12 Syns.
4. After answering these questions, work out how many Syns you require for that night:
My total for the night is 59 Syns
If you’re happy with this plan, agree an upper limit with yourself, enjoy your evening, and if you have an extra glass of wine, or few more prawn crackers or a pudding, keep counting. If you think you may have forgotten something, keep planning.
Food Optimise normally until you go out. Use your flexible Syns during the evening, and when you get home, go back to normal Food Optimising.
There is no guarantee when you next weigh yourself that you will have lost weight this particular week, though the chances are you will. However, you will be completely in control, you won't 'blow it' or give up, and you'll be ready to Food Optimise 100% after a great evening out, without feeling guilty.

i been doing slimming world and have lost 1 stone 4 so far (had lost more but put on a couple of pounds over christmas). Just need to lose another half stone n then keep it off by June next year so my dress is perfect on me!
Fave slimming world recipe is spaghetti and meatballs or beef stir fry cuz i usually take leftovers for lunch and its free!
non alcoholic pimms is really nice n also free and my consultant showed us how to make chocloate pots which are like 1 syns each and they are chocolate mousse with a bit of alcohol in put in a shot glass. Obviously you make a big bowl of it so when you divide it into shots of mousse the syn value is low!
