i make the nicest pots ever...with garlic. never been sure if garlic is a syn or not but here it is!

    peel and slice pots
boil for 15-20 mins until soft
put into a frying pan with loads of garlic ( we use about 6-8 cloves!)
use plenty of fry lite and keep turning them until golden brown

spray with fry lite as needed. if they are bit burnt they taste even better!

We have these about 3 times a week and love them. have them with so many meals! xx

they sound lovely, we did a potato and spinach dish last night, but cannot remember the ingredients off hand, but they were lovely and creamy as added low fat fromage frais. we are having slimming world burgers tonight, h2b is a dab hand at making them now and having them with slimming world chips made from sweet potato. yummy :) x

the burgers are lovely, h2b puts grated courgette in them and they hold together perfectly, we love them, although the first time he did them he didnt put enough salt and pepper in them, but with the chips and mushy peas they make a great meal, we often have the chips, they taste quite like roast potatoes really, but they are syn free and you can almost imagine them being real chips lol :) x

well first meeting done. And off to tesco to stock up on some things. Love the garlic potato idea! Carbonara tonight though, but this time i will try to get the portion size right! (last time I made it I followed the serves 4 recipe, but me and H2B scoffed the lot! lol)
really looking forward to the next meeting, to see what weight I have lost. Although didnt expect the meetings to last nearly 2 hours!

cause it was my first week she asked us to wait until the end. And EVERYBODY wanted to talk and share recipes. I was starving as didnt have dinner before I went, meeting started at 6 and I got home just after 8. Not sure I will be staying for the whole meeting very often. Either that or turn up at 6.30 and miss the scrum to get weighed quickly.

we are normally there for over an hour and a half, but i find that the meetings are beneficial, i learn alot from them, and would probably fall off the wagon if i didnt stay, i didnt stay for one and when i went back the next, everyone was doing sticker charts, and I had no idea what they were doing, so wished i hadnt missed that one. i also missed the raffle which is always a brilliant prize if you win. Do your groups do slimmer of the week, where everyone brings in syn free items and they all go to the slimmer of the week, i have won it twice, you go home with loads of nice goodies :) x

yea my group does that. i have one it once!

we dont do a raffle though. we go it for money! Each ticket costs 20p and you can have max of 5, the consultant picks a name out at random at end of class and sets a target. eg...have to lose a pound that week but doesnt say who it is. if next week the name of person loses a pound and stays to class she wins the money. hope i explained that well

I find if I want chocolate then I have either a jaffa cake which isn't that bad or I make chocolate mousse up with fat free fromage frais and then beat in some options hot chocs in any flavour and some gelatin to set it. Makes a chocolaty mouse which helps ease the cravings. Either that or the WW frozen desserts really hit the spot.

i like the slimming world hifi bars as my b option that tends to stop my craving enough, i have made a chocolate mousse too with low fat fromage frais and highlights drinking chocolate and i think sweetner in it ( i cant remember the precise recipe), put it in the fridge for a couple of hours and its delicious and only about 1/2 syn per portion. alot of people at my group have a snack pack curly wurly as their treat and i think they said they were only 6 syns. :) x

btw - try the Edamame bean stir fry in tesco; it's so tasty with a bit of soy sauce and egg noodles; much nicer than the usual chunky stir frys xx

I'm needing help with breakfasts!! H2B is getting bored already.

    we have on our list:

    2 x weetabix with milk (a+b)
    2 x weetabix with O% total and fruit (b)
2 x dry small brown toast with fry light eggs (b)
2 x dry small brown toast with lean bacon (b)
    omlette (free)
    Muller light + banana (free)

we need something else that doesnt use the B choice, as he sometimes likes the ease of taking tin soup to work for lunch which counts as his B choice for the day, and doesnt have time to cook in the mornings so cant do the omlette. He also dont like just the yogurt and fruit............ HELP!

we often have lean bacon grilled, mushrooms, egg and either baked beans or tinned tomatoes and as an added treat at weekends, we do potatoes, everything fried in fry light or grilled so its all free and very very filling and doesnt use either a or b choice. other day i have fruit and muller light yoghurt, any type of fruit that is free and if i want to use by b choice i have either 28g of fruit nd fibre or 42g bran flakes, with fruit and yoghurt. some days when i dont mind using my a and b, we have 2 small slices of wholemeal bread with 42g low fat grated cheese toasted under the grill, the 42g just about covers the two rounds of bread. sometimes we have egg on toast using fry light or beans or tomatoes on toast :) x

yikes got my first weigh in tonight. I seriously dont think I have lost anything, have been eating mountains of pasta and potatoes. How can you lose weight when you are eating more calories than you are burning?? I really cant see how this diet works without adding exercise! (which I should be doing but cant find the motivation right now)

My friend and I were going to make the canelloni on Saturday but the pasta tubes were ridiculously expensive in tesco so we created our own recipe!

    approx 500g fresh washed spinach
    1 tub quark
1 300g tub ff cottage cheese
    Salt & pepper
    Sprinkling of nutmeg
    Lasagne sheets
2x 400g tinned tomatoes (or passata but has loads of added salt which isn't good for you)
    2 cloves garlic
    1 onion
    5 mushrooms

    1. Mix quark and cottage cheese together with S&P and nutmeg.
    2. Put spinach in a pan with 2 tbsp of water and a lid on for 5 mins
    3. Fry chopped onion, garlic and mushrooms in fry light til onions translucent
    4. Add tomatoes to onion & garlic mix
    5. Chop spinach and add to qark mix
    6. Using the lasagne pasta layer the quark and spinach mix alternately with the tomato mix
    7. Bake for 45 mins in oven at 190 degrees :)

Eat and enjoy as free on EE!

PS keeps well for lunch - I had the left overs today :)
