    Hope no one minds, but thought I'd start a thread on my diet - this week I'm on the Slim Fast (sounds like Jesse's diets from the Fast Show)... Today I had:

    Breakfast - Slimfast Meal Bar (200 cal)
    Snack - Slimfast Pretzels (100 cal)
    Lunch - Slimfast Smoothie (200 cal)
    Snack - Slimfast Snack Bar (100 cal)
    Dinner - Chicken Curry Ready Meal (400 cal) followed by Muller yoghurt (100 cal)
    Snack - Skips (100 cal) - couldn't resist, was watching Master Chef!

    Total Calories: 1,200

    That's gotta be good going hasn't it? Also walked into and all around town at lunch so must have burnt something!

    Sounding good Kizzy.
    Remember drinks add to your calorie intake too- so if you are drinking loads of sugary drinks...

    I lost 7lb on my first kick start week of slimfast, then i changed my diet to cutting down portion sizes. I have lost 19lb. Good luck it is hard to stick to longterm thought x

    I'm having black coffee with sweetner and sugar free squash - and I have a lovely office, they're all doing it with me! I'm worried one of us will start chewing on someone elses arm soon tho - we're all so ratty and hungry!

    When you get hungry have a drink of water (or squash!). Hunger is sometimes actually thirst!

    uhhhh, dreaded diets!! I can't even keep up gettin on the wii fit let alone keeping track on food and drink intake!! lol, it's tooo hard >.<

    Iv got loads of shakes as they were on offer at Wilkinsons! Cafe Latte is my fave! I fond if you have 1st one as late as pos,and drink slowly over half hr its better? Oh yeh,n lots of water,as theres fibre in the slim fast!x

    Well done hun! Slim fast is brilliant for a kick start, although it does get a bit boring after a few days of not eating much solid...GOOD Luck!! xx

    Slim fast is well cheap in Body Care. The only way I can lose weight is by REALLY limiting the amount I eat, I practically have to starve, grrr, mothers genes!x

    Last time i tried the old slim fast i swear it made my feet shrink lol, since then ive not attempted to try it again!! x

    Kizzy your calorie intake is going to help you lose approx 1 to 2lb a week which is really good, nice and slow so that you dont put it back on really quick. The longer it takes to come off the longer it stays off! I agree with Dove if your hungry just drink some water or squash first then see if your still hungry! Your doing really well hun!!

    My gorgeous H2B bought me a present yesterday! A running machine, ive been wanting one for ages but didn't want to ask seen as how they are quite expensive! But he knew how much I wanted it and turned up with it last night for me! Its huuuuge lol, so im gonna get on my running machine and start losing the weight :o)

    Sounds good babes. I went on a slim fast diet once when I just didnt have the time to do anything other than drink the odd milkshake lol. Totally the wrong reasons but it worked x

    i'm doing slimming world diet because i love my food and lot's of it and i've just joined my local running club to help me get fit and tone up x

    sorry if i'm boring or ranting at myself.... lol ... i do a 1200 cal a day on my own, i'm to embarrased to go to weight watchers r slimming world. i started at 16st 4lbs and am now at 14st 10lbs but i usually stop after week 3 and eat normal for 2 then do it again.. i've been able to keep the weight off most of the time but i have put on 2lbs every now and again but never any more than that so it must be working for me... i was doing the treadmill for 30mins 6 nites a week but after a month and no one to motivate me i have stopped.. having to run after the kids all day is tiring enof then at nite i just can't seem to get back up and on to the treadmill... :)

    lala, I think that's because if you run it, you exercise for about 10 mins. If you walk it, its more like 20. :D

    Slimfast is great. So far i've lost 3 1/2 stone on it. I just have normal cereal for brekky, a slimfast smoothie for lunch and a 600 calorie meal in the evening. I also eat loats of fruit. My H2B and me do a lot of hiking at the weekends and i've just joined the gym to help me tone up a bit. I've been loosing 1 to 2 ilbs a week :-)

    The problem I have with this sort of thing is that if I had the will power to just have a shake and then not eat other stuff, then I could also just eat healthily without the shakes and lose weight too......

    sounds good calorie wise but instead of the slim fast snacks which are g=fairly pricy try and swap for a few pieces of fruit not only is fruit low in calories but it's highly nutricious and full of water keeping you hydrated and giving you fab skin and nails. try adding steamed veggies or a side salad (hold the dressing) with your evening meal too. i have only used slim fast once, not because i was on a diet but i had glandular fever and couldn't chew or swallow and they are yummy and very filling:)
