I have been worried about my hair for my wedding day since I spoke to my wedding co-ordinator & he told me we would sort that out once we were there! Well I don't like the sound of waiting because they may not be very good... same goes for my make-up so I was considering buying sleep-in rollers as a back up or main plan & not sure about my make-up. I mean I don't mind doing my own if I have too but I would have preferred to eliminate the stress & get pampered on the morning of my wedding day!
What does everyone think? Good idea? x

Ooh, sleeping in rollers so you don't have to curl your hair in the morning is a fab idea. I might have to do that too! I'm useless with heated hair tools lol

Socks?! I've heard of tissue paper but socks?! Suppose socks will give you wider curls though!

If you were going to go down that route i would give the a test run beore the big day!
When i was younger my mum used to tie my hair in rags to make it curly.
xxxx
CommentAuthorAnastasia
I will certainly test run... plenty :)
I used to have rags put in my hair by my nan when I was younger but these made tight ringlets which I associate with pride & prejudice lol.
I would like wavy curls x

No dont do it - be prepared for no sleep. My best mate is a hairdresser so I trailed sleep in rollers and didn't sleep a wink. Yes they are soft and squidgy but your still sleeping with lumps on your head so unless you sleep on your face it's uncomfortable. I was tossing and turning all night and in the end I slept upright as h2b was getting angry with me keeping him awake.
I suggest you try them before as want to get as much sleep as you can on your wedding eve xxx

I agree - definitely try lots and lots before the big day - I can't bear sleeping in them so bought hot rollers which i absolutely LOVE. the u tube videos are great and to be honest, it take 15min-20min to put in (you can chat with ladies and drink bubbles at the same time) and they only have to be in for 10-15min. (i got my hot rollers from B00Ts on my points card. best use of it EVER!
Maybe so you can still be pampered you get your bridesmaids over for afternoon girlie days and they practice on you and then can do on the day! :) Good luck. :) happy rolling!

Not sure if it matters about the brand but I just have heard so many good things about them I didn't think there would be others as good, I guess they are just squidgy rollers at the end of the day so would all do the same job! I am buying some for £16.50 x

I did the sleep in rollers for my wedding hair - It stayed curly all day! Will be taking them with me to Spain for my BMs and myself - I have ones that are about half an inch in diameter and they curl much tighter but once it drops out a little they leave really lovely curls and waves!
It's not the most comfortable thing to sleep in but after the first couple of times you get used to it - I find rags much more comfortable to sleep in than rollers but prefer the look rollers give. I made my rags from an old fluffy towel, thicker and absorbent! :)

Hi ladies, just saw this thread. I am a hairdresser, and bought these rollers myself, more cos of e roller craze and probably the fact that they are pink too. So I put the rollers in, they definitely need. Lips to secure them. Lying on the rollers is very in comfortable, and itchy from the Velcro. It is something you really need to get used too. They do give good bounce and a slight wave/curl, but more of a bounce then anything. Also cos they are made of foam they obviously flatten when you lay on em, ere fore squashing te roller, and not giving the curl the full amount of Volume or curl. I would recommend heated rollers in all honest, leave them in as long as you can before you need to leave with plenty of hair spray/ setting lotion, and buy the best you can afford. And when taking the rollers out use a bristle brush to give nice smooth waves.

I am having my rollers put in the night before ...means going out for food in the evening my rollers lol

I like wavy/slightly curly hair, and I find for me, what works best, is washing and drying it normally... And splitting my hair into two sections left, and right side, and twist tightly to the ends and securing it with a big crocodile clip. If I'm around the house ill leave it like this for a few hours.... Voila... When I unclip my hair, my hair falls quite naturally in slight curls... Brushed outis more of a wave. And I find it will stay like this pretty much until I wash it again. My hair is a few inches below shoulder length.
