Ok here's the thing.... I have worked out my budget, and the venue of where we're going to get married, but..... We're aiming at getting married at 2pm, but the evening reception wont be starting until between 7 and 8pm... What should we do inbetween the end of of the wedding service and the evening reception???

No I haven't. Don't have the first idea as to where to look.. I thought I was doing so well with the planning then! There's always something that stumps you!

We're thinking of having a BBQ at the venue instead of a sit down meal, especially with it being in august xx

yeah you definitely to arrange some food for inbetween people will be passing out lol! if a full wedding breakfast is too expensive lots of people are having buffets instead, then just topping it up for the evening x

could they let you have the meal there? and bring in your own caterers??? as that usually works out cheaper then a venue arranging the bwedding breakfast x

We are getting married at 1.00 pm at registry office, then photos, then sit down meal at reception venue at about 3/3.30 ish, evenign recepton is 7/7.30ish. By the time we have photos done, then we'll have bubbly/bucks fizz or similar before sit down meal, then they have to turn the room around, the time will fly by.

I'm getting married in a CIVIL ceremony in a hotel, at 4pm, then photos, and the evening reception for everyone is starting at 7, but we've told people to be there for 6 for speeches. We're having 2 buffets, a small one to keep our ceremony guests going whilst photos are being dealt with then another for everyone at 8 ..
