I'm having a summer wedding but can't settle on a colour theme because I know I'll end up changing my mind, so I've chosen white and silver as I think this will look very elegant. Now I'm worried it might be a little boring?! Help!

Loads of wedding mags have white ideas

It'll certainly be elegant :) are you defo having a white dress? Otherwise you might want to consider ivory or cream, which have slightly warmer tones than white. You can always add in little bits of colour nearer the big day, such as the favours you give or even just by having coloured vases as your centre piece or even just a bowl of coloured water. My friend did this, she bought fish bowls and filled them with red water and put long grass and a poppy floating in the centre. It was a lovely wee touch and something you could the day before, leaving you no time to change your mind!

If you're settled on those colours, go all out on something else, like the flowers or detailing on your dress/tiara/veil, so that there is still a central talking focus for all your guests, and if their eyes happen to fall on you, it's no bad thing!

    xx

Thanks feel a bit more confident now knowing other people are planning it too! I've picked out a gorgeous bright white dress with lovely diamante detail, thought with silver bridesmaids, guys in charcoal suits with silver cravats, and silver and white candles in crystal for the night it would be lovely...just didnt want it to be a bit too plain. Brightly coloured flowers is a nice idea - but again do I pick one colour or a mixture! So hard to decide xxx

I seen a lovely display of flowers done in fuscia pink & orange, if that was your only bit of colour it would look nice against white as a bouquet x

It will look really classy and you can get so many shades of white that it will not look plain. If you want to add colour, green is good, you could have clear vases as your centre pieces with green grass in. You could also have clear and silver scatter crystals on the tables which will really pic up the light from the candles. Even though it's white, your options are endless!

    Good luck

wow what a lovely idea hun :-) silver and white is really fresh and clean looking which i think is perfect, as above you can always add some hints of colour later. White bouquets with silver diamante detailing = perfect :-)

I think adding hints of colour here and there is a fab idea, doesn't have to be much, teal would be a beautiful colour, also green or pink. We have ivory, with hints of green and gold (BM dress is green, FGs dresses are ivory with a green corsage, guys are wearing gold vests with gold/ivory rouches, cake is white with green butterfly toppers...you get the idea).
