Now I've decided on the dress I want (yes I'm going to buy it soon!) which is a silvery grey in colour I'm wondering what colour theme to have. Do you think Silver grey and lilac would be ok? with splashes of white? I was thinking of purple too but wonder if that would look too dark?

Thanks! I'm going to put a mood board together (how sad am I?!) and see how the colours work.
I personally have chosen a coloured dress as I don't think white suits me!

Lilac sounds good don't be too scared of purple because cadbury's purple is lovely!!!!

I agree, find someone to do a colour board for you or see if there are any on google. My wedding planner suggested Navy pink and yellow as my colour scheme and thought "no way" till I saw a colour board of those colours!!

thats my colour scheme too. We have loads of cadbury purple, the bridesmaids are in victorian lilac and we are mixing it all up with silver, crystals and pearls.
so basically shades or purple, silver and sparkle.
