Does the father of the bride wear the same colours as the best man/ushers/etc. or does he do his own thing? I can't remember from any of the weddings I've been to!

My brother (who is playing the father of the bride role) will be matching.

I've only been to one wedding but the father of the bride wore the same as the groomsmen then as well, makes sense as he is part of the wedding party

My h2b his BM his 2 brothers his dad and my dad are all gonna be in the same suit. He's having a cream rose as a button hole with cream ribbon, then the others are having roses with bright coloured ribbon so they match the colours of the bride's maids bouquets. So you think my h2b should be more differentiated ? Maybe different tie?

MrsFarrelly2B our suit guys have said if we want them to look different we could have h2b in a different coloured tie, as he wanted to stand out and is going to be the only one in a top hat, but we decided against a different coloured tie.... but that was when we just had green as a colour scheme.

He might consider him having purple as a tie and the rest of the men in a yellow tie but I don't think he will, so we're going to have them all in the same colour. (our colour scheme is yellow and purple) I think all the men will have a purple tie, with a yellow buttonhole, my fiancé will have a double button hole whereas everyone else will have a single and my fiancé will wear a top hat whereas noone else will

totally up to you. I don't think there are no rules really with any of this other than vows, and no religious connotations in a civil ceremony.

my uncle (had FOB role) wore the same suit and cravat as the groom and BM, and the same waistcoat as the BM. Groom had a different waistcoat (a little bit so he would stand out, but mostly becuase they didn't have enough of the one we really wanted so Dan got that one)
