im using silk, although i do like the sound of wooden ones, and they are so cheap too.

id expect wooden ones to be more exspensive.

i want to keep my flowrs too and need to keep costs down so silk all the way :o) and in iccies u cant tell anyway

I got the wooden ones from ebay they do every single colour you can imagine. They will make the bouquets for you but easy enough to make your own and cheaper too of course. It now sits on a shelf in our bedroom and i have attached my husbands button hole to it after drying it out x

Aw MrsA that sounds lovely! I was reccomended silk by my florist as I want to have anemones and she said that the real ones won't keep too well, and the silk ones look so much better, even up close, so I have bowed to her wisdom. I think it really depends on your type of flower and style of bouquet, but it is your decision at the end of the day and you need to feel comfortable with it...but I would go silk!

I'm having silk flowers.. theres a pic in my album although the pic isn't great. If your in two minds about using silk then maybe order a silk buttonhole as they are cheap and you'll then know what the quality is like etc. Real flowers are obviously beautiful but silk can be just as beautiful without the pollen stains, without having to keep them in water and you can keep the silk forever! Its a lovely gift for your bridesmaids to keep there posys! x

im having silk flowers so that me and the others can keep their flowers after the wedding. my only problem is what to do about the buttonholes. my sil2b said my h2b has to have a different colour or 2 flowers on his buttonhole. even tho i was only gonna get him the same as my bro and best man xx

I've already got my foam roses and I love them. We are having fresh flowers for the venue but all our button holes, bouquets etc are fake. The main reason I did this is because I want to keep them and unless you get really close up to them you can't tell. If you didn't want real or silk you could always opt for feathers or crystals instead.

Yeah there is a difference in the texture of them and the way they look. There are some very good ones on the market though.

You can always ask them to send you a sample out of one of them. My lady sent me one to look at before I made up my mind.
