Right I got engaged in July of this year and am over the moon and this year seems everyone is getting engaged which I am happy for each person :) However thanks to modern day tech and social media some people are getting on my nerves . Am I being grumpy ?
For example a girl I know from many moons ago but is a nice person and friends with on facebook got engaged within the last 6 months so of course like many others there has been pics online of the ring , the engagement party and the place they got engaged , the place they are getting married in but there are more ....... about 5 pics a day or status updates about weddings and how perfect everything is however every few days there is a very public fight on facebook then the make up with hashtags of #perfectman #perfectcouple Now every time other mutual friends talk about their weddings or ask me or other engaged people how are plans next min newsfeed is full of pics or updates on buying dress etc we even did a big group chat including her to see advice and how we getting on but she kept putting other peoples ideas down or changing the subject to her .
It's getting to the point a friend wanted to comment to her no one cares , which I think is mean and I understand she is excited but do show offs get on your nerves too ?

I think the more people show off, the less they actually have to show off about if that makes sense.. The more perfect a couple seems to the outside world, the less perfect they are in their own world... Yes I announced on Facebook when I had got my dress and when we reached 700 days, but that is literally it.. I haven't put where or when we're getting married up yet.. I haven't spread my plans all over for everyone to see.. I'm one of two of my friends getting married at the moment and she's very quiet about hers too unless we're private messaging, so the one on mine is not about weddings, but there is a girl on my FB who goes on about how perfect her man is, then the next status is how much she hates him and then the next status is how much she loves him again and she doesn't give a toss what anyone else thinks... I'm sure she changes her relationship status more than I change my clothes !! Lol..
And on another note, other people that do my head in are the ones that's moan and moan about having no money at all and then 3 days later they're adding pictures of their new tattoo, or they've booked a holiday or they've bought something else ridiculously expensive ! Xxx

What I have to laugh about the girl I mentioned they went on hol and that's where he proposed yet 3 days before she was asking will someone come with her as she dumped him and never wants to see him again ..... You can guess next update lol

Attention seeking! I don't hold with putting my life story out there for all to see on fb, no one cares anyway and i prefer to keep a private life. I haven't even put a single status up regarding my wedding, i will probably say something a few days before but i can do without the stress, at least you know on uk bride people care about the colour of your dress or the contents of your favours lol x

Grrr my youngests stepsons mum does that !! Telling H2B how hard it is finding the time off work in summer hols etc and then booked 4 Saturdays off that WE have him so she can go and get drunk !! Telling H2B that the maintenance he pays doesn't go far at all, yet has much more free money than us to go on holidays and weekends away and has spent the last 4 and will be spending the next 2 Saturdays out on the niss !! We have been on one abroad holiday in 4 years and saved 16months for it ! This is the first year she hasn't been abroad since we've been together, but she went 2 weeks away in whatever they call the 'posh Butlins'.... Which probably cost her as much as our abroad holiday did ! Grrrrrrrr ! Xxx

MrsH2b Someone I know always seems to land on her feet Jezza Kyle has nothing on her she cheated on father of 1st kid with a bloke for 1 night stand her now ex accepted it , bloke said he wanted dna which I agree as it was a 1 night stand yet his parents who met her years ago believed her , she had baby and posted pic online with hr of birth . That was about 3 month ago since then she has had many a weekend away (without kids) nights out which involved police in a shocking manor which can't be said on here and always nights to cinema or bingo yet she is mother of year and never worked but thinks her ex and father of child should pay her lifestyle ?

Hey guys. I hate people like that on fb that so much I deleted it. Some people on there think they are in competition with each other. And if I get started on step children's mothers. I have put like nothing on my fb, as i want it to bd a suprise when they get there invites! Thats why im on here so i can share my excitement etc without rubbing things in peoples faces, and let anything out of bag! Plus other singles etc don't undetstand the stress of plannjng it!

If people don't care...then why are they friends with her? I think its mean personally, she's excited and her flamboyant personality is obviously showing through.

This is a perfect case for blocking all her status updates from your walls. I have some friends that over share and I've blocked them from my wall. It's such an easy and effective solution for this problem.

I have posted before about similar issues I think. The couple who got engaged after us and married a year to the day exactly before us and everyone comments on their wedding pictures "the smiliest people we know" "the best smiles ever"- arent you meant to smile in wedding pictures?! Surely in most wedding pictures the couple looks happy. I let things annoy me though haha.

I put a status on facebook when I got engaged, and again with a year to go to the wedding. That's it. I've got a secret group set up for the bridesmaids, which I use to tell them what they need to know, and H2B and I have another set up which includes the best men and matrons of honour.

I particularly get annoyed with FOOD!!!!!! Especially when one girl in particular is on a diet...tries to lose weight (posting pics of herself every.day. and then posts a pic of a massive Costa with caramel sauce and a 'healthy' muffin!!!! sort yourself out love!!
I also know her child very well, however i have never met him.

That's what I think too Danni, its the people that have been on FB this year posting pictures of their abroad holidays and what a great time they're having EHILE THEY'RE THERE !! If they're having such an amazing time FB would be the last thing on their minds like it was for me and H2B when we went to Spain.. 2 weeks away from FB and didn't think 'Ohh I wish I could post this' at all.. We were far too busy and having far to good a time xxx

When I told one of my sisters I was planning our wedding she told me her and her partner of 10 years (who have never mentioned marriage) are planning on getting married abroad the year b4 my wedding and my other sis told me she is going to try for a baby the year b4 my wedding. ...I was so annoyed but didnt show it! My mum keeps sayin ignore them but they are 35 and 31 ffs!!!

Happybunny I just feel like they r taking the shine off it for me, I soon shut them up when I told them our mum is buying my wedding dress so she wont b able to afford loads of stuff for a new baby or a be able to go to a weddin abroad! Don't you just hate it all your saving and planning and its a family member that gets jealous and wants attention. DanielleP75 my little brother is very rude he is one of those that things he has the right to say anything no matter how upsetting it can be. My girls are 2 and 8 months and he had said it around them now my 2 yr old thing its ok to call bet little sister it. But as much as I love my brother I just turn round and said that a wedding take planning and money as neither of you can afford both you will choose the baby as I did. Im lucky cos I have already out deposit on my church, castle and marquee...I wanted those 3 things done cos without those there cant be a wedding lol! Things like dresses, suits and table decs can wait til a year before I work nights for a month every 5months so im goin to make my favours while im on nights! Im loving all the plannin at the moment tho :) x
