I'v not really looked yet at hair styles, but I have an idea of how I would like it. I have really long hair and I was thinking of a bit up a bit down as I want everyone to see the length of it. would like it curly too. I love curls.
i think this is the only thing i have yet to decide lol. Although looking at similar to weemindy but not such big curls more loose curls.

I'm not a massive fan of 'wedding hair', although the second picture of yours looks lovely Hails.
I'm thinking of something similar to how I have my hair today, but a little more 'sleek', and with a slide or something on the side that's pulled back...

I cant make my mind up wether to go really tidy and neat like picture 1, ora little bit tussled like picture 2/ i am going to wait until my dress comes and decide then.
Im torn between these 3, definitely going for some sort of elegant updo though :)

I like them all Nic. From how I know you from here I'd say style 1 is "your" style.
RaggedyAnne why don't you keep in theme with your hair? I think these would be perfectly matching - they are understated vintage and not bam in your face victory rolls. :-)

Glad I could help. They are all taken from the Love My Dress wedding blog - I think that blog is right up your street RaggedyAnne (and maybe yours too Nic?)
Funny how those two brides look so similar in hair dress and stole - they certainly share the same taste!

I want something like this
dita1.jpg
dita2.jpg
Both have the same basis but pic one her curls are more brushed out and brushed over in a roll. Which is more secure on the day because it can be pinned into place.
I have a friend who's a vintage hair style and she'll help me on the day. I have quite long hair so it would have to be faked anyway. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing her pics - this is a friend of hers, her hair is mid back long like mine and it's all pinned into place to simulate a fake bob. Great thing about this is that the curls can't hang out and it will stay in place all day - so this or possibly a tad longer will be my wedding day hair style.

It means your photographer is a great one otherwise she wouldn't have taken him on. He pays her a fee to have his widget displayed and I think once month there's always a sponsor spotlight.

i'd like your opinion on this please.... My hair is dark brown and so i would use brown ribbon, i have a necklace IDENTICLE to this and could actually make it easy.
i quite like this hair accessory, do you think it could be made to look good on one of the above hairstyles?

I think a good hairdresser could work this easily into a roll like above (like the last hairstyle posted for you), doesn't have to be such a big roll and could have pin curls draped around. Where are you based again?

Ah ok that's too far - ha ha ha. My friend does weddings and is very very reasonably priced.
My auntie-in-law got married there in a hotel. Can't remember now if it was in Sleaford but we had to come off the motorway in Sleaford.

LMB....that would probably have been the Lincolnshire Oak Hotel. just off the A17
That would have been where we got married, but unfortunately it closed down last September.... Is this the place?

OMG! Woodhall Spa is where i AM getting married. its called the Petwood Hotel. home of the Dambusters.....
Yes it was that one! We were only a few day guests - well a few - around 50 I'd say. never 80. But more at night. Her husband is from up north and she's from Bedfordshire but they've been living together for 10 years down here in Beds and on their visits up north they always stay there as he is ex-RAF and slightly obsessed with the grounds. So they also got married there because it's "their" hotel. We stayed over for a night and it was a lovely room. The photographer taking us all the way back to the column bit was a bit .... well it was freezing cold and it took forever with hardly any guidance and it was a long walk aswell! :-)

LMB, as you probably know, i have been having massive trouble with my venue, and am close to cancelling with her, and in view of what you said the other night.....about going to the petwood and there was less than 80 people., i checked again. and yes its right, the minimum is 80 in 2 of the rooms, but then there is a smaller room called the garden room, and its just right for up to 32 people......our wedding is 24-26...AND ITS AVAILABLE! and there is no charge for the room either., so its just a matter of paying for 24-26 meals. only thing is, we cant have the ceremony there because the ceremony room is already booked, but that dont matter, we can marry at the registry office and then go there for our reception. Anyway she is holding our date for 2 weeks .....Andy has told me 'its up to you' , and i will talk to him about it when he gets home tonight at 10.30....... I will have to ring around the registry offices to see if our date is available before doing anything else though. So excited.......i actually CAN have the place i wanted in the first place.........I just hope Andy is OK with it really and not just agreeing with me.

How great RaggedyAnne! They got married in a small room with a big bay window - I wonder how on earth 80 or more would fit in there? And the celebration was probably the garden room because there were doors to the garden. But I don't know :-)

CommentAuthorRaggedyAnne
Yes thats it. the garden room has patio doors opening onto the garden. I just cant believe this couldnt have been discussed LAST year when i was looking to book there, and they told me 80 minimum....SO LUCKy that my date is still free.....i HAVE to take it dont i? its like an omen. OK i dont WANT to lose £200, but i would be prepared to lose it to have this place.....definately. plus, our ceremony was going to be at the other hotel, the registrars were charging £400 to travel there, and the hotel was charging £350 for the use of the ceremony room....so thats £750 We cant get married at the petwood so it will have to be registry office......costing approx £200 if we have the top package, then thats it......just 24-26 meals to pay for, as its a free room. so even if we lose that £200, we have saved £500 anyway on the ceremony costs...
