Thanks Sam, I got an eye for anything that sparkles lol and always knew I wanted a princess cut with the band set with diamonds so went to the ethical jewellers on bruton street to design it just how I wanted it and they then sourced the diamonds for us. So perfect, my dream ring and so lucky H2B had the budget for it lol. Got it in platinum.

The wedding band has been designed to sit next to it, just a plain one but may change my mind in the new year when we go back to sort the rings out. Might get it diamond cut so that it reflects the light but doesn't actually have diamonds. Don't want to overdo the bling and then I have an exuse to get an eternity ring when we have our first child lol ;)

Awww, men can be so sweet can't they! When H2B gave me my budget I was over the moon as I knew I couldn't spend all of that if I tried lol so I got my perfect ring :D

I know what you mean about having this vision in your head of the perfect ring but not finding it in any shops. I was the same but then I always knew I would commission mine with this particular jeweller as they do ethical jewellry so I could have my bling without the guilt.

If you want diamonds all around it then I say go for it! ;)

H2B gave me a gorgeous Tiffanys ring in yellow gold the classic tiffanys setting- simple but lovely. It was a huge surprise and I love it!!

It didn't take long for it to be designed as I had a picture in my head of exactly how I wanted it to be so when we went I described it to them and they got it spot on with the 2nd draft. I was over the moon and still can't stop admiring it :D
I love my ring so much, perfect, exactly as I want it. H2B always says it was so worth getting it commissioned to be made to my exact specifications and worth the money too as it'll be something to pass down through the family in years to come. I felt so spoit as he gave me a really generous budget for my ring, I only spend 75% of it :D

Mine isnt quite as grand as either of yours but I love it none the less! My h2b bought it to propose with and I havent taken it off since! He sold his car so that he could buy it for me bless him! Here it is :) xxx

Thanks for putting my pic up! Yours is lovely linzi-jo!! I love yellow gold! It's become the unusual metal for rings now hasn't it lol. I think the diamonds sparkle even more next to yellow gold. InDreamland, it's awesome that you got the diamonds sourced specially! Must make it feel that bit more special.

Have either of you decided what wedding ring you will have? I'd love the matching tiffanys one with little diamonds all the way round but its £2.4K and I would feel bad for H2B to have to fork that out- our wedding costs are escalating! He says the ring is more important than extravagant flowers etc because I'll have it for life, but I'm just reallllllly bad at choosing something else to cut back on! xx

Oh that sounds lovely and it will all match perfectly. You will have 3 gorgeous rings!! :-)

If I'd thought about how much the wedding would end up costing earlier, it might have been possible. But I'd have to cut back on flowers and dress, and probably even venue which is too late now. The plain gold will still look great tho and maybe I can upgrade when we're middle aged lol!

Everyone on this blog is so organised, it freaks me out!! Lol. You are doing so well! When will you start looking for your dress?

I have booked venue, chapel (well, pencilled in as they wont let us officially book til the year mark), photographer, florist, band, and cake supplier. We have to apply to the archbishop for a license for the chapel which we do later. I've looked at some dresses but haven't decided. And erm that's it!! Next big thing is finding a hotel for overseas guests and sorting out hair & make up. xx

Mrs E 2b - I think there is no harm in the tiffany's wedding band being an eternity one if it's basically like a band with diamonds all the way around it ;)
