Princesspixie your ring is the same as mine (but mine is yellow gold with white gold setting for square bit) what is the matching wedding band like? I got my e-ring from E.Jones and they don't do it anymore.

Just picked up my new engagement ring and I have the wedding ring to match. Not taken a pic of the wedding ring yet though but it all matches. What do you think? Its not as dainty as the last one but looks amazing. It is the same size as the last one (I) but yet I struggle to get it off, maybe because its a bit thicker but thats probably a good thing? Wont fall off in the swimming pool.

where do I start haha: 1. Find a huuuuuge scratch in the diamond which they say is true of all SI rings? We find out its not so after argueing with them they agree to change it. 2. The shoulder diamonds on the original ring are then loose so have to get them fixed. 3. There is then a big gap in the shoulder diamonds 4. Where they fix the shoulder diamonds despite this now obvious gap, the lines above and below of platinum are no longer a crisp sharp finish but look like a two year old decided to play 5. Got that fixed and realised that the two end shoulder diamonds are not of the same quality and dont even look like diamonds but pieces of shattered glass or crystal but put up with it knowing we werent going to get anywhere.
Then we went somewhere else and fell in love with a wedding band but it didnt match e.ring. Hubby to be could see I was head of heels and since we were both unhappy with the original ring, we asked how much it would be to change it so it all matched, provided the original claw setting on the main stone stayed and then we build up a new ring around it and they came back with a bargain so we went ahead. :) Its nice to be excited by the ring again. We both cant stop staring at it. Not nice that it had to be changed but at least we both now dont have a bad feeling about the ring.

I popped into E.Jones today to ask about ring cleaning and they did it there and then for me without charge which I didn't know about. Bought my e.ring from them 3 years ago and have never had it properly polished - it's now as good as new and I love how shiny and polished it looks now. She said I can go in anytime and they'll clean and polish it free of charge (only took 10 minutes). Will defo be going in before the wedding now.
They didn't even ask to see proof of purchase or anything.

That's a shame Sijen, I was very pleased when I saw the wedding ring as it went perfect with the engagement ring.. Wedding is an expensive business so anywhere we can make a saving we'll try.. :)

Your rings are stunning. I wanted a ring that was shaped around my e.ring rather than cut out and I struggled to find one in E.Jones. They do have stunning rings though.

Finally uploaded a profile picture lol. This is my engagement ring :) It was actually one of the first photos took of it, we were on holiday when h2b proposed to me so we took photos of it afterwards to remember the moment :) I think the photo's a bit blurry but you can still see it. I love my ring, it's quite simple but it's exactly the sort of ring i would have chosen xx

Suzky I also had to change my e-ring too due to some faults with the old one, my new one is my album. i adore my new ring so much and h2b does too, its unusual as its a radiant cut diamond! We have just ordered a wedding ring to be made to match the band with the baguette diamonds so finding one to match was impossible!

awww sorry you had an issue but its nice to know its not just me. I have been told that we should have 'put up with it' but as dave said, when you spend that much money why should you put up with it, and it has to be worn forever. I am glad you love your new ring :)

Finished wedding ring has arrived back in the jewellers! Was getting severe jitters before we went to pick it up, to the point where we were gonna go back to the drawing board again, but saw it and tried it on and LOVE IT!!!! Was really worried about the shape, wanted it as symetrical as possible without leaving massive gaps between it and the e-ring, think he's done a really good job of marrying up those requirements!

this is my engagement ring, Its tanzanite- which is perfect for me as my favourite colour is purple and tanzanite is also another birth stone for December :)
