They are lovely Linzi! Very pretty, I was thinking of buying a bride and groom one for the top table :-)

Ive just put some photos in my wedding centrepiece and favour album of my diy favour boxes and place settings. Would love it if you ladies could take a wee look :-)

ignore the box with the feather, I'll be using the triangular one with plain balck ribbon :-)

b2b13, i got it from the bay from a seller in china. if you search for feather trims, lots of sellers come up, with lots of colours. i'm glad a got it, as i think it'll really finish off the bouquet.

rags, i'm going to glue those little skeleton leaves on the branches and strings of diamante. i love the look of this tree
    wishing tree.jpg
    wishing tree.jpg

for the 'wishes' i was going to have luggage tags and spray them the same colour of ivory as the tree. i MIGHT have to put little hooks on them, as i think guests will struggle to get them on the branches. this could change when i use the actual tree branches i've found, as they have thinner branches

Thankyou ladies :) and kisywisy that is so cute! lol and no I didn't glue them, they still move around a little but I bought little silver spacer beads that go inbetween the pearl ones which only just fit on to the hoop so they tend to stop them from moving :) xx

Thank you Linzi :-) Dead easy to make, Got a job lot of wooden roses for £12.99 for 100, ribbon £2 and the Wooden hearts were £7 for 30 and delivery. So £22 for 30 place settings :-) The lace flowers were dead cheap too - like 60p for a metre of lace :-)

My bargain head is on now more than ever!

I got the flowers on the bay of e. Anni - another bride on here got the same roses so I think they are still on there. It was under joblot of wooden roses in black and white but they have loads of other colours too :-)

I must admit I am chuffed with the result - I had no idea what to do with that big box of flowers lol cos I bought loads of random stuff and hoped it would fit in somewhere.

thanks everyone im so happy with how thye have turned out and its so hard to get a good picture of them so the pictures done really do them justice. the only thing im not 100% about is the butterflys i love them and they are really pretty and my girls are so happy with the flowers but im unsure if they are a little big they are 8cm long so not sure if i need smaller ones going to take them to show my family at weekend and see what they think.
    long

hi kimi because the stems are bound with florist tape its actually pretty stick so at the minute its just pinned with the pearl pins .
i started the green at the top and wrapped it round the stem going down then went back up over it and cut and repinned it then wrapped the pink ribbon top to bottom and placed a pin were it crossed over its actually prity secure i was thinking i might use my glue gun and dab a bit of glue at the top just to keep the ribbon tight then tie a bow around at the top of the stems. it did take a few times to get it right.

omg Natasha i know a lot of work goes into them i have taken apart and put my back together some many times over the past 4 months but that price is ridiculous. i think mine as cost about £60 max altogether the brooches were the most expensive part but i even manged to find them for a between £1.50 and £2.50 each. i was going to get my bridal shop to do it as they do flowers to and they look great but i was going to have to provide the brooches anyone so thought i might as well try it myself and its worked out cheaper. xx

I cant wait to start making stuff! I still have over 3 years till my wedding but going to start making things as soon as deposit is paid on the venue so I can really take my time and get everything perfect! I'm going to be making sweet trees as table centrepieces, also possibly going to steal an idea from my friend for the favours: bottom of wine glasses painted with blackboard paint, then the guests names written on in chalk. Favour, place name and glass for drinking all in 1!

No, I sat and watched Holby City and thats on an hour.......but I only did 24.
I only really need 18, but I had 24 boxes of eggs and 24 favour boxes so I made them all. Might as well.
threading the ribbon was fiddly in the beginning but I soon got quicker.......I got really quick when I had done about half of them. I found it quicker to cut the ribbon to a point before threading it through.

The chocolate eggs came in little clear boxes that fit perfectly inside, i thought I was going to have to empty the eggs out and fill the favour boxes, but they slotted right in.

There was twice as much ribbon that I needed......they are already cut to size which is good.

think i might of gone a little ott I'm using the favour boxes as place names going to put little tags on the ribbon. the glass charms are extras that came about as i had bought loads of pearls for my bouquet but didn't end up using them so was better to spend a few more £s on wine glass hoops and charms then to waste the price of the pearls xx

Yeah I have too.. I first of all bought the tulle for my favours, and then I saw the boxes.....so now they have 2 favours, I could have saved a few quid if I could have been more decisive about which i liked the best but I couldnt choose so had both! LOL
I didnt fill the tulle with sugared almonds though cos not many people like them so I filled them with mint inperials, and inside the boxes are chocolate eggs so i think thats quite a nice combination. I would like that if I was a guest.

    I too have got loads of pearls, and crystals too.....(for stringing) but they wont be wasted because I make clothes and my sons girlfriend makes jewellery;
