Some really stunning ideas here, I'm not the most creative person but will be giving some of these a go :)
CommentAuthorMrsGothBride
here are a couple of pics of the hair comb, I much prefer the black wire against my hair, gives the illusion of the beads floating lol, it was based on the silver one which I liked the style of but came with a price tag of over £100!! mine cost less than a tenner!

Mrseminson2b can I ask what the dimensions are of your place settings? After folding? All this home made stuff looks amazing. I'm doing our stationary but that's it... I wish I had more of a creative streak!
CommentAuthorMrsEminson2B
Mrs C to be before folding they were 3 inch x 3 inch so folded they would be 1.5 inch x 3 inch
Velcro my friend owns a chocolate making business so she is making me chocolate to go in them they will be little hearts one white choc, one milk choc and one dark choc for each box

Am now thinking of making lollypop bouquets for the bridesmaids as I need to save some pennies, going over budget slightly, especially with the quotations for hair & make-up. Who knew that would be so much!! x

elizabeth you could buy and oasis bouquet holder remove the green oasis and attach a polystyrene ball use a skewer to make holes before inserting lollies I used the same method for a ferroro bouquet I made, if its the box ones then you need to purchase the flower box, add a polystyrene ball to the base inside attach lollies to skewers and insert in the ball then add tissue paper x

Love the bunting on those invites! They look really great.
I made our hand fasting cords tonight by plaiting coloured silk strings and adding charms at one end of each, the charms are the tree of life, eternal knot and pentagon star. Not much else to make now really....not sure what ill do with myself lol.

I will say that once you get them so your happy with them put them away so you don't keep playing with them lol xx

Wasn't sure where to post this, sorry if its in the wrong place :) I, like many others, am trying to make as much as I can for the wedding to save money and to personalise the day. But, my creative skills aren't all that. I have impressed myself with some things but my question is, if you were at a wedding and for example, your favour, was obviously hand made and had taken a lot of time to do but wasn't 100% perfect would you be put off? Or worse, laugh about it?
I'm in a panic cus I'm making my place cards atm and have finished all my favours but some look a bit odd but in ways that will show I did it myself, like a paintbrush stroke in the wrong place or the heart not perfectly cut. I have made an extra 50% of what I need so the rubbish ones can go in the bin, but I don't want guests to think I went really cheap!!
Help xxx
CommentAuthor~Beauty&TheBeast2Be~
Wow, some of these creations are draw droppingly beautiful! The only kind of idea i've come up with is my sweetie jars, and salt dough butterflies for our tree, (instead of a guestbook where having one of those trees, where you write your messages on the butterfly and hang it on the branches of the mini tree).
Crawf, don't panic, why would if look cheap, you put the extra effort in to do it yourself, if anything your guest should be very impressed, instead of buying it all in you did it. You should be very proud of whatever you create! :)
How do we insert photos? Nowhere near as lovely as yours, but i'd like to post my jars and butterflies!

I would prefer a handmade favour in place of a more expensive shop bought one it shows how much thought time and effort went in to making them. my favours will just be little chocs in a box I do have plain little gold boxes that i'm decorating myself with ribbon and little square crystals but that's as far as it goes for me.
Lauren you can only post pics in the forum if your a power user but if you put a pic in your albums I or another member will post the pic for you x
CommentAuthorVelcro
crawf, I always prefer hand made to bought :) im making as much as I possibly can, and if that means a flaw or two then il be alright with that. its so much more personal, and you will look at your completed room (before the guests trash it all lol) and think. I did that :)
