    I want to do all my stuff handmade, if its not perfect I'm sure it will still look nice, as I hope the effort and hardwork will shine through, plus it means my venue will be totally unique to us and our day.

    After seeing everyone's amazing creations on here, i set myself a challenge to create my own Wish Tree, so my first attempt will be uploaded into My Photo Albums. I'd really appreciate people's thoughts/ideas for it. It's my first attempt, so please be nice :)

    Here's how i made it:
    Twigs/Branches from local park = Free
    Left over white paint from walls = Free
    Twine = £1.20
    Gems = 99p
    Lace Netting = 45p from leftovres from netting shop
    Purple Ribbon = 75p for 2 metres
    Birds i handmade and got the template free online, which i can send to people if they like the idea. Bare in mind, my birds where first attempts, i haven't sewed in years so yours will probably look a thousand times better! The material was around £7.00 for 2 sets of patterns that would probably make around 35 birds, so cutting in down just for the 2 birds, would work out 20p a bird!
    Little wicker heart = £1
    Box is small cardboard box from an old gift filled with sand from beach to hold it down

    Total Cost: £4.79!

    Proud me :D

    Started making part of my table centrepieces today... this is the "light" bit!
    I am going to put them on mirrored plates with a few of the diamond scatter crystals, plus stick some of the crystal bubbles on each table.

    Also... Putting the table "number" in a picture frame on the table with a list of all the guests... we're naming all our tables after bomber and maritime patrol aircraft due to our strong connections with them! - H2B is ex-nimrod pilot! Both in RAF and he will be in his uniform but we still wanted to add a slight twang of military aviation to the party!

    Of course it does ID!!

    I made our place cards yesterday. Its amazing what you can do with a bit of wrapping paper haha!

    SO far I have made (completed)

    Save The Dates
    Place cards
    Evening Invites
    Table Names/Numbers

    Things to be completed/made:

    Day Invites (Started)
    Table Plan - (cheating a little as using a picture frame but still need to do the name lists myself!)
    Centre Pieces
    Sweet Trees
    Put Favours together
    Menu choice cards to be laminated when received them back
    Bridesmaid gift bags/boxes

    I have a few pics in my stationary and table albums

    instead of party bags I'm making place settings and party boxes in one. Papier-mâché in the shape of the mad hatters hat, filled with sweeties and toys etc then instead of the 10/6 sign that the mad hatter has I'll have the kids names.
