I have about 80 save the dates and day invitations, and a further 100 evening invitations needed. I'm wanting to make them but struggling to find navy blue card. I've searched the bay and can only find single sheets :-/ I think I'm going to need bout 100 a4 sheets card. The pearl paper is quite easy to find but I'm struggling with the card. Any ideas ladies?? x

Have you tried the rainforest website? Or you could look into just buying the paper from a local printer?

Becky - I found a few reams of navy blue a4 card on the bay, I just searched for blue a4 card (omitted the word navy), buy it now, catagory crafts & price low to high. They were coming in around £20 for 100 sheets,
Valentina, I love your pew end. It gives me some inspiration, I can't think of what to do for mine.

Looking for some advice from those of you that have made pocketfold invitations. I made 5 invites last night & upon checking today found that the double sided tape I used hasn't stuck at all, can anyone reccomend a good tape or an alternative product? Thankyou xx
CommentAuthorCheekyTerri
Have you considered a craft glue, or glue dots? The Craft of Hobby does a good range and is only in West End.

Princess2be, I love the crackers there amazing. I like what you might put in them to, I would love to go to a wedding at xmas time. I was at a market not long ago and a stall was selling crackers for like wedding favours christenings birthdays etc. They were like £3.50 each and they came empty. How you feel with only 3 months to go, have you got all your main things sorted?
CommentAuthorPrincess2be
Yeah got all the main things apart from invitations lol. Going to pick up my wedding ring tomorrow!! I saw crackers that were really expensive, that's why I decided to make my own using the bay of e. Xx
CommentAuthorMrsX2b
Thats good you sorted stuff. Bet you cant wait for your ring. I know i will be the same with invites lol Iv been saying il send std's out for the last 2 months.
CommentAuthorPrincess2be
Lol itl all come together I'm sure!! Yeah can't wait till tomorrow. Xx

For invites I have been using a mini glue gun that I got off of the bay and was very cheap! Has worked like a charm on my invites.

MrsT i have ordered a hot glue gun too, is it good for diamante embelishments? xx
CommentAuthorNot_so_reluctant_Jin
I would say a hot glue gun is too messy for embellishments. Try g3mt@c which you can buy from the bay of e. It has a strong hold (if used on clothes you can wash the items) & dries 100% clear.
CommentAuthorMrs T. 2 Be
For my embellishments I just used a craft glue but for everything else I used my glue gun.

KeiraH51, use a glue called 'Modge Podge' its great, I used it for pocketfolds after using double sided tape and glue gun. It's good for all sorts of materials, really sticky and drys clear. You can find on bay of e x
CommentAuthorMrsRobson2Be
Thanks for the tips everyone, I ordered a different double sided tape, It's extra strong permanent glue. So far it's working great, all the pocketfolds are staying put.
Claire - I can't find anything on bay of e when searching for modge podge?

Glad you found a solution. I printed our menu choice cards out yesterday and got them in the invites. Very nearly finished with the invitations now. I just need to print the menu list for the day invites after we confirm the soup flavour and then to seal and address them.

Where did you buy the butterfly from? I think your flowers are lovely. How long did it take you to do the shoes and how many gems did you use? I love them, I prefer them without the bowxx
CommentAuthorBlue
butterfly i bought from a card shop where i live they came in a pack of 12 for £6.99, i just wired them and stuck them in, the shoes i'd say took about 6 hours per shoe!! (spaced out over a few evenings a week) i got 5000 2mm and 5000 3mm, (£11.40) and i have a few left for other projects (bottom of ribbon on flowers etc) i used gemtac glue too xx

I Love the shoes, although I too it prefer it without the bows.

lauren I love the shoes! You must be incredibly patient to attach all those gems. It's a shame to hide them under a bow.

I love the bow but I'd have it on the back of the shoe as I think it looks a little bit too busy with all the bling and the bow on the front! :)

Just finished my first prototype of our Doctor Who table names, going to be making them of coloured card, individually cut and in 3D layout, will make the lines a little bit more clean. Very happy with the first shot at it!! Our colour scheme is black, white and silver, but we are having one bit of blue in the way of two TARDIS ring cushions which I am making myself (If my H2B ever remembers to pull our sewing machine from the loft LOL) Ive made an album for the DIY bits and bobs. Happy happy happy :)
CommentAuthorVelcro
Just looked in your album, your table name looks fab! There's 3 doctor who brides now lol, exciting!
Here's a few of the flowers I've been making for my bouquet, it's taking forever lol, not hand made but my clapper boards for the table names..... Il be writing on them with chalk...so it's a teeny but DIY lol
