Ugh been a painful two days on the fingers and joints, but I managed to finish my Tardis wedding ring cushions tonight! Just waiting on the bean fillings coming from the bay of E, and I can fill them and completely sew them shut. They are very "home made" but I, and my H2B are chuffed with them :) (Put a piccie in my DIY photos)

Mrshill, those jars are lovely! I love lac on glass! Finished my gallifreyan Table names today JUST as I was about to run out of ink! Finished the wedding ring pillows yesterday too, but ordered faaaaaaaaar too much bean bag stuffing! Could probably do about another 100 cushions with the amount I bought in! But I suppose it will come in handy if I ever want to make a bigger cushion! Hope everyone is having a fab friday night!! xxx

Had a play around with some invitation ideas, so this is my first go:

    Purple/SilverInvitation
    Purple/SilverInvitation

So i wanted something simple but elegant, this design was from the shop of £1 for a pack of 10. I like the basic silver design as it was a bit vintagey and lacey like our theme, and just added the purpley/magenta gems and flowers also from the shop of £1.

So for 10 invitations, £2 all together.

I'll probably only need a few more as we have 50 guests, so estimating, i'll spend no more than £4!

I was originally going to buy the card and make my own, but it's hard to find a majenta colour, so jazzing up simple ones seemed a good idea. They do loads of different designs so do go and have a look AqTi! Add your own twist, i'm doing the same with my cake, getting a plain 3 tier and adding my own decorations to match the theme, it saves so much money!

So idea fo the day, i saw this in a DIY Wedding Mag, and thought i'll try that.

So basically it's a glass jar, bit of lace/netting (mines an off cut from the shop, cost 40p), and twine. It creates a small flower vase in a vintage style for little pieces of decor, you can use them as place names if your having a small wedding or just around the place as decoration, as final touches.

I've just added some little yellow flowers from outside, but i think it would look lovely with lavender in. It's my first attempt so my netting attempt is a little off as you can tell by the kink. But it's quite cute and quirky, and is fairly easy to do.

I also added some butterfly craft ribbon, available from the good old shop if £1, to make it slightly sparkley.

I have had another invitation trial run using the actual card, etc (in my albums)
Unfortunately the ink smudged as I didn't leave it to dry, but you get the idea & the card colours also didn't photograph well, they are pearlescent silver card, mint paper (border) & pearlescent Snow White with a hint of green (goes green when light catches it, it's beautiful).
Just need to confirm the actual date/time & then I can print the rest, also need to figure out what to insert in the pocketfold other than RSVP.

LaurenMichelle - you have the invites I do lol, I'm planning on jazzing them up too - yours look lovely :-)

My h2b was horrified when I said from £1shop, but once he looked he realised why, and got thank you notes from there in same design too

There lovely aren't they Stephanie! I'd love to see how you've jazzed yours up :) You would not realise they are £1 shop. We didn't like the inside bit, so got some purple card and white card, and just glued over it, ready to pint out the details onto paper and stick them in. Totally different cards, and we got a pack of pearly doves and purple hearts, 79p from the craft shop and are popping a few of them in as well.

Can't go wrong with the £1shop. They do table number holders too, white with hearts all over, look lovely, not cheap in the slightest. And the wedding napkins are lovely as well. And scatter crystals and all sorts.

I haven't even started jazzing them up yet - got ages - but I have bought little half pearls to pop on and our colour is royal blue to I'm looking to get blue hearts to put on them too.

I couldn't believe what they have in there for weddings, they have some lovely bits, I will be getting a few more I'm sure x

Are you having foam flowers, silk flowers or going for real? Or button flowers are becoming popular as well as broochers, or there are lots of beautiful paper flower bouquets walk throughs which i've posted on here before, and are pretty easy to follow.

Do you know what flowers you want?

Best to g00gle image the kind of thing your after and start from there (Y)

The brooches and crystals are very expensive when bought, so you could start collecting them now, you can pick them up cheap here and there, or if Nans have got any special ones you can include them in your bouquet as the Something Old.

You can pick up the crystals/coloured pearls from craft shops :)

They take a lot of time to build up and make but look wonderful when done.

I thought the same... dont think many will be seeing my clothes hanger on the day! I've got some white satin padded ones from purchases in the past I'll probably use but the dress shop supplies the dress on an appropriate and quality hanger for the dress that won't buckle under its weight!

all the bridesmaid dresses came on quality hangers from c0@st.
