I've booked a hen night for the week before my wedding. I've paid the deposit and a payment scheme has been set up for my friends to pay their share of the total. It all seems clean and simple and the woman who helped organise it was really lovely.
What's worrying me now is that she was in great contact before I handed over my money but now she doesn't reply if I send her a query. I've only contacted her by email- do you think its because there might be system problems and I should actually call the company? Or do you think something funny's going on?
Has anyone else booked their stag/hen do with ChilliSauce events or heard anything about them?
Also even though we've set up to go to a spa and restaurant, I haven't been told which one. Is this weird or do agencies just not tell you until closer to the time when everything's set in stone?

I'm sorry hun but I haven't. If you paid by card you may be able to get your money back if there are any problems. Have you tried to get some reviews etc from the internet about the company?

i havent heard of the company. i prob be a little miffed that i wasnt getting propt responses to my queries. hope you get reassured with any reviews about the company xxx
I hope so! They've apparently won awards for their stag/hen party packages... but then my old letting agent won awards and they caused me more stress than my degree did. So not much hope. I think I'll have to give them a call, I'm not happy with the lack of correspondence

i have heard a few stories from people that used hen night companies. they are always really good at replying at first and so helpful until they get your money and then are useless. this is why i didnt use one and i made certain that h2b didnt as his best man was adament they would until i put my foot down!
i would email her again and say you are really upset with the service you are now getting compared to before you made payment and see what she says xx

Maybe the woman you have been dealing with is on anual leave or something hun?? I would ring the company rather than email, you might get more answers to your questions that way and at least you know what is going on! Keep us posted! xxxx
Very very happy as Mrs Erica Trow

I can't find them on Company House :(
I rang during office hours and it just went "the other person has hung up". I rang a little later and it went to their voicemail. I left a message and I'm going to call again in the morning. I'm getting slightly worried by this. I only went with a company because it made it easier for me to manage.

If you are really that worried ring your bank and see if they can take the payment back. Tell them that you have paid for services you have never had and that you can't get in touch with the company anymore. I had this with a company online and the bank managed to get my money back even though it had gone through paypal (who refused to do anything).

Don't worry, crisis averted. I managed to get in contact with them today and they answered all my questions. Phew!
