Hi, my bridesmaid recently chose not to attend my wedding ceremony last minute. I'd already spent a lot of money on her outfit - is it fair for me to ask her to cover the cost of the dress or at least to ask for the dress so I can try to sell it on?

Personally I’d definitely ask for the dress back, I can’t see why she would want to keep it if she’s no longer in the bridal party, your well within your rights to ask for it back xxx

I would definitely ask for it back. It was bought for your wedding so if she's dropped out of the bridal party she should not be keeping it.

I would ask for the dress so that you can sell it on, but I wouldn't ask for the cost unless she asks to keep it. I think a lot of people have had to drop out of things last minute these days what with lockdowns and shielding which if it is to do with those is nobodies fault.
