really want to pick your brains ladies on what sort of shoes you are wearing with your wedding dress. im having a summer wedding so am thinking of possibly sandles with a bit of sparkle. but then i've seen some really nice teal platform peep toe heels with dimontes on front and back. not sure what to do!

i brough 2 pairs, one pair sparkly sandals, lower heal and then platform peep toe in ivory. both were from faith in the sale. two pairs £60!! i am going for the peep toe as they are wedding shoes and may change to the others in evening, will see how my feet feel xx

Were planning on gettin married around May/June 2013 time so hopefully weather will be nice as its next to the sea, but i am too looking for kind of shoes will go with my dress and i will be comfy in to wear most of the day. Most of the heels ive looked at are open toe and 3in heel.

i have got heels for the main part of the day. but have also bought cadbury purple pumps for later on and prob buy some pretty flip flops also. I donl't really do heels so as lovely as my shoes are i can't see me wearing them for too long

ye i think i might get something more practical for the evening as i rarely wear heels as i have osteo in my knees, not sure i can dance in flip flops tho its gr8 idea for the good weather. my bf keeps tellin me to get the teal killer heels cus after all sometimes beauty is pain lol. not sure i like the sound of that haha

i have bought some lovely ivory peeptoe shoes with diamontes on the front for 100 quid but as gorgeous as they are im not sure i will be able to wear them all day, but for 100 quid i want to! might buy some nice flats for later depending on how much my dress will drag on the floor..

I have brougt a lovely pair of purple peep toe high heels, but they are really high so will only wear them for a few hours I think. I will also be looking to buy a pair of lower heels for dancing in the evening. Only thing that worries me though, I have the dress altered to fit the high heels then when I change to smaller heels I will be kicking the dress out of the way when I walk. Has anyone else thought about this? How do you get round it?

I am being rather impractical and wearing lace boots. I saw them on a website and fell in love with them, so although I will probably roast to death in them I will be happy knowing I got what I wanted. Might take a pair of flip flops to wear later on though, or just go barefoot, no one will notice anyway, lol. x

I have some pretty sling backs I got in a sale (pics on profile), but they are a little tight, so I have a backup pair of very comfy shoe boot style shoes to change into for the dancing in the evening. The sling backs have about a 3" heel, and the shoe boots I think are about 2" so I'm hoping they are still high enough not to be tripping over my dress on the dance floor :-)

Ive seen a nice pair a white satin heels from priceless shoes And there only £15. Or a nice pair on ebay small heel for £18. I havent seen any that have stood out to me so have bought some royal blue rhinestones to put on the heels of the shoes i buy to bring sum blue into the shoes.

I have some red satin peep toe 4 inch sling back heels with a diamante and bow on the front! they are stunning had to have them. I didn't want plain ivory or White wedding shoes I wanted to be different. Red is not my colour scheme but I'm having red nails and lipstick like a Hollywood glamour theme. I think go for whatever shoes u like there is no certain type anymore I can't stand all those satin ivory block heeled shoes u c in the wedding shops. Not for me anyway. So I would say go for it!

even though nothing else is silver I have gone for silver shoes from dune which are quite high since im short. Even though the dress will then magically 'grow' of the evening I am going to buy some cute little flats so I can dance. Pics of silver shoes on profile. I love faith shoes.... cant believe all the shops have closed down. Can only now find a few shoes from Debenhams... its not fair as I wanted my bridal shoes from there but never mind. H2B happy though as no longer 'wasting money' as he calls it.

Well as appears to be typical for me - I changed my mind, and have bought a lovely pair of shoes from Next, which I nearly bought in store, but as I walked in they gave me a £10 off voucher for my first order online, so I tried them on instore, and went home and ordered them online, so got them for £18 :-)
They arrived today - yay! Piccie on my profile :-)
So off to ebay with my first pair - LOL

Ive found the perfect pair of high heel shoes but the are £375 which is way over our budget :-(, iv put a pic up of them. Whatever day ones i end up getting thou im going to get the flats for the evening as my dress is pretty heavy so i want to be comfy. x

Thanks biochrissy :-) They are actually far more comfortable and secure on my feet when wearing stockings than my original pair, which is the other reason I changed my mind about the originals...
