right, im not really a shoe person so havent a clue what to look for, all i know is i can cope with nothing much more than 4 ish inch heel. can some of you lovely ladies have a look at the shoes in my album and tell me if you think they would look good with the styles of dresses ive got pics of? im liking the lacey shoes best but i dont know if the colour/style is right. handbags are sooo much easier!

I'm not really a shoe person either. I'm just glad that only the tips of my toes can be seen so it doesn't really matter what I wear. I got mine for free because barratts made a mistake with my shoes. I wouldn't pay that much for them if you are only going to wear them once. You could always go for something totally different like blue or red shoes too to make a statement so you wouldn't have to worry if they matched.

Another vote for the sling backs here :-) I think they tie into the style of the dress really well (although confession here, I'm a fan of the sling back style as it's what I'm looking at for my shoes if I can find a pair I can afford!)

i love shoes...i am addicted to buying them. i like both shoes but think the sling backs are more of a wedding shoe and would go with your dress better. Also they lace ones will prob be killing your feet by the end of the day.

I noramlly wear shoes in excess of 5 inches and my wedding shoes are about 5/6 inches, but i still think they will hurt my feet by the end even though i am used to heels xx

I like the sling backs but you have to watch sling backs as i find that if i walk in them to much they seem to come loose throw the day and fall out of them

Try walking in all said shoes would help if you could actually do that to wear them. I found this out when I saw a pair of shoes I adored and then found I couldn't dance in them and had to walk really slow so I chose another pair which are just perfect and I can even run in them with their heels too. :)

I like the sling backs too...im a proper shoe person and deliberated for months on what to buy.....they look more comfy and look like they would compliment whichever of those beautiful dresses you choose!! I got mine in the sale too....John Lewis have a sale on all rainbow club bridal shoes, mine were £35 instead of £70.....!! But however lovely they are remember you have to wear them all day!! :O)

The peeptoes are stunning! They could easily be used again. I went for statement (photos on my profile) rather than traditional and am sooo looking forward to them peeping out from under my dress x

I just bought 2 pairs from my catalogue to try for size and heel height (as I can send stuff back for free, and order more than one size), and I found that with tights on, the backs of the shoes just slip straight off and I walk out of them - even the ones that were the right size length wise :-( I was wondering if sling backs might be better for this, especially if they have a little elastic in the sling back part.... unfortunately my catalogue didn't have any sling back ones to try.... I'd be better off barefoot in shoes, they stay on then, but I really wanted to wear proper stockings and suspender belt!

lol, and i was going to say the first ones, based on heel height, but it has to be what you love. My shoes/boots are very me even though it will be the middle of summer and will sweat to death! No one else will really see them, though my MIL2b says she will be showing everyone, lol. just have a stand by pair with smaller heels if your feet start to hurt, i think i will be wearing slippers or going barefoot after a few hours! :D

well i decided to measure the heel height and platform height of a pair i already have that i know i can wear all day, heel is 10cm platform is about 2.5cm. i should be able to manage a slightly higher pair, but what i'll do is get them and wear them round the house for a day and see how i cope, then get a lower pair if needs be

you must be used to wearing higher heels than me then, lol, i have platform red high heels and i managed to wear them on a night out for about 3 hours before my feet started swelling up and I was walking like I had haemorroids, lol. Have fun trying them out, and if they aren't suitable for your wedding day then you just have another pair of awesome shoes for your collection! :D
