My sister has told me that its bad luck for my h2b to see my wedding shoes before the wedding but i just thought it was just my dress that he couldnt see? So what is it?

i don't think it's bad luck but I'm keeping mine at my mums until the night before - mum's making my dress and they'll be there for whenever I have fittings, and get to wear them in when I pop round for a brew! Think for day I'll be wearing my hhigher ones but have a pair of flats for night or whenever my feet get achey lol

I don't think it is unlucky if the groom does see your shoes, but I wouldn't want my h2b to see mine, simply because I want it all to be beautiful princessy surprise! He is not seeing ANYTHING that I am wearing. xxx

Well, my hubby definitely saw my shoes as they belownged to another bride before they came to me LOL! He was there (as he was their BM) when she bequethed (sp?) them to me, so most definitely knew where they came from and what they looked like. And we're still married, so no bad luck for us

Iv never heard that before. Its just the dress.

my OH has only seen my shoes and my veil because it was hung on the back of the door any mum's he's not seen it on or the full length of it etc

I think its okay to see the shoes, at the end of the day my other half went out with me when i was wearing them, wearing them in before the wedding you see

My hubby has seen my dress....not on me, but on DTTB lol!! His Mum was off when I chose it because its a sample dress, so I had to tell chris because it was upsetting me, then it came on DTTB and I had a mini fit! lol xx

I put unsure - it doesn't bother me but when I wanted to show h2b a pic he didn't want to see because he thought it's unlucky.

you know, Adam said that too! I was going to show him and he said he didn't want to see because it was unlucky and he wanted everything to be a surprise. Definitely not showing him now anyway, want to see his surprised face when he realises they're bright pink! lol xx

i heard that from someone else on here but dont think it is true.

my h2b saw both pairs of shoes i choose and ended up choosing the pair i wore so i dont believe in it even if it was true xx

I've not heard of it being unlucky but i've also kept mine at my mom's and my veil is staying at the shop until i collect my dress because he said he doesn't want to see anything just incase it is unlucky he doesn't even want to see my hair when i have my hair trial next month wants to stay out till i've took it down x i dont think it's unlucky to see eachother on the morning either but Im too suppersticous to risk anything x
