i bought my wedding shoes ages ago, well 2 pairs actually. they are both faith shoes and i got them in the sale. both pairs for about £60 as i couldnt decide on which i wanted. one pair are sliver strappy sandlas with a lower heel and the other are actually ivory same as dress with a chunkier heel and more shoe like. these ones are from the bridal range at faith.

The problem that i have is i still dont know which to wear and need to decide to have my dress altered. If i wear the higher shoes my dress does not need to be altered at all!! if i wear the lower ones then i need about an inch taken up on my dress.

I am used to wearing heels so it doesnt really matter except i have worn both pairs to wear them in and the silver sandlas seem to hurt my feet after a while even though they are lower.

Any advise would be appreciated!! xx

Think you've made the decision there yourself hun!! If the lower ones hurt your feet go for the higher ones for the day and your first dance and then change to lower ones for last few hours if needs be (thats what im doing!) :) xx

I would go for the shoes, cos as you said i think all sandals afetr a while start to dig into your feet :) keep your sandals for your honeymoon :D and then you can use the money you save on alterations for more drinks at you hen do lol

are you not worried about the bottom of your dress getting dirty when you switch to lower ones? Someone told me it is best to have your dress cleaned after the wedding even if there are no marks but not sure that is correct or not. xx

i have got 3 pairs of shoes for the wedding. One pair of Gina silver strappy sandals with svorowski crystals, with a 4 inch heel. Another pair of silver shiny Gina's with a 3 inch heel and a silver pair of ballet pump Jimmy Choos which are obviously totally flat and a half size too big so that i can put in memory foam insoles.

I am defo going to start in the crystal pair, and work my way through them all as my feet hurt and onto the flat ones for dancing.

i kinda figure that by the time I am on the flat ones I wont care if the dress is touching the ground too much, cause i would probably end up in bare feet by then anyway if I didnt have the pumps. I dont really think people will notice and inch or two at the bottom so am going to get mine done just a little short for 4 inch heels, so it will be perfect for the 3 inch ones and only 2 inches too long for the flats! if that makes sense...........

I'm having my dress cleaned after wedding so its all pretty and sparkly when i want to get out it and get into it and relive the moment haha
You wont have to wear your high shoes through the meal so could probably get away with just wearing your high ones i guess?
I'm taking my low ones as spairs :) xx

think i will wear the high ones to start with then and maybe change into lower ones depending on how my feet feel.
Thats true about sitting down for a while when eating and speeches so hopefully they will be ok.

you have some good idea carabelle...
    xx

Go with the ivory shoes to match your dress, especially if they seemed more comfortable and easier to wear. Then if you want (like my firend did) just take your shoes off come the evening reception and have a good dance and knees up!

It's your big day so do what will make it perfect for you :)

    Best of luck :) xxx
