I've bought high shoes which are gorgeous and I love them (pic in profile), I've started to try to break them in, but I'm finding that they are making my toes go numb. Does anyone have any ideas how I can stop them cutting off the blood supply to my toes !?!

Are you wearing pop socks or tights with them? That might be the problem- I found that when I wore them, I slid further into the shoe and it was quite uncomfortable.

I'm currently wearing socks (trying to break them in) but I will be wearing hold ups on the day as I don't like wearing shoes barefoot unless they're flip flops.

Maybe stretching them a bit if they are a bit tight around that area? If it is just to do with the gradient of them I would get some new ones.

If they're not too tight, what about gel cushions on the ball? That should provide extra grip...

Just wear them as much as possible with socks. I have started to break mine in so I just wear them round the house instead of slippers now, as soon as I am in from work I put them on, sit and watch tv in them, do the vaccing and dusting in them lol. At first my feet were really sore after having them on for a few hours but they are getting better now. xx

I've been trying to, but I get a little worried I can't feel my toes! I am going to persevere with them as they are gorgeous and h2b will have a fit if I don't wear them as they were expensive.

Just take a little rest when you get the numb feeling, then put them back on again.
Also if you can find some, maybe get some cheap dancing shoes. I got some really comfy ones on bay of e that were £12 with the same heel height but just much more comfy. I plan to wear these an hour or so into the evening do so that I can manage some dancing. x

i have just looked at your shoes and i love them! i want them! i see that they are peep toe. this may sound strange but i had a pair of peep toes that really hurt and this is what my step dad did:

get a clean washing up cloth and put a bit of washing up liquid on it, not much though and just keep rubbing the cut out bit with the cloth. do it for about 5 mins on each shoe and make sure you wipe all the liquid off so it doesnt stain! i went mad when he did it to a £70 pair of new shoes but it worked as it sofened the leather.

the other thing you could try if you dont want to do that is stuff the ends with newspaper to stretch it a little.

i must start wearing my shoes in! i had completly forgotten about it! xx

I have already thought of that! I have got some flats for later on ... it was h2b's idea so that I'm not crippled!
