hi all, we are getting married july 2011, in an outdoor ceremony and hopefully the pictures will be taken on the lush grass. i have ben looking for heels but feel this would not be appropriote - heels getting stuck in grass etc. what about wedges? or any other suggestions?

I don't think heels would be a good idea, like you say they will sink in the grass and could get messy! Wedges would be good, they won't sink on the grass and still give you the look of wearing heels, as all us girls want! xx

i soppose they would be more comfy, just havnt seen any nice ones yet. also, do they really need to be white if they will be under a dress and not seen?

I am thinking about getting some wellies as even though we are getting married in August we are also having a marquee in a field so wellies will be a must I think!!! Hopefully I will be able to get some purple ones by then

Wellies would be soo cool Melly, are you going to try and find special white ones? Then you could personalise them? Like write your married name on them and stuff!! Or stick diamantes on them!! xx

I was hoping to find some, that write 'just married' like you can get the flip flops, but as yet i havent been able to find any. (i'm thinking about trying to create my own). I'll going to be wearing my favourite pink glittery wellies, but may buy some of the special white ones as well. xx

I'd get overly excited about decorating white ones!!

An idea you could do at the end of the evening with special white ones is to get everyone to sign it, kinda like a guestbook, but something else as well as one!! xx

Thats a nice idea, to get everyone to sign them at the end of the night. They'd then look like a good 'ornament' in my living room. xx

You can get these little things that slot onto your heel with a circle of plastic on the bottom which is alot larger than the heel and it stops the heels sinking in the grass. I know ppl that have used them at ascot. x

I got wedges for my bridesmaids as we're having a marquee reception. I'm going to wear flat pumps - no one can see your shoes anyway - most they see is the front toe, and if you're getting married in a church they will see the soles...
