Im completely stunned ive just phoned my mum to say guess what we are now getting married next month :D so excited, for my mums reaction well- she said thankgod the sooner its over and done with the better! I was completely stunned and told her that was a horrible thing to say

is it just me over reacting? should I just let it go or do I have a right to be upset how would you all feel if it was said to you?

I'd be very upset! Mum's are supposed to get excited with you, help anyway they can and enjoy it as much as you! Not want it over and done with. Has she had much to do with the planning? Maybe you could try and get her involved more if she feels left out for example? Or has someone been saying something and whispering things in her ear? Does she like your partner? You could sit down and have a proper long convo and explain how upset the comment made you.

What did she say when you said it was a horrible thing to say?
