I was wondering what you ladies think about sharing venues. Now not on the same day, but using the same venue my future SIL used for her wedding. If I were to use this venue I would be holding the reception in a different, smaller room. I also know that she has several friends that married there as well.
Would be getting married in the same church not matter what, as it's the family church (sis, mom, grandparents all married there).
Only considering this as the venue is really cheap & although it isn't the best I'll know what to expect.
Really would like to hear everyone's opinions before I bring it up to my OH.

If that's what you want I can't see an issue with it. What would your SIL think?

I say go for it. It's going to look different anyway as your colours and centrepieces will be different. If it's a good price and you know you get good service I don't see a problem x

If it's what you want go for it, plenty of people end up with the same venue. It will have your touches and will probably look completely different x

I dont see it being an issue, especially as it's a different room within the venue but maybe just have a chat with her fist so you don't get accused of stealing her thunder....we've all seen the posts on here!

if your afraid of being compared to her wedding, well you said its going to be in a different room for start, your colour scheme and theme are probably different... although it is in the same place, you cant really compare 2 weddings as they are all unique to suit your wants and needs.

and as for the church i actually think its lovely to keep it in the family, i wish we had something like that!!

i think its sooo romantic :)

I cant see it being a problem, how long ago did they get married? You'll have your own day with your own special touches so people wont compare, especially as its in a different room too. I say go for it if its what you want.

This would definitely be a last choice kind of venue, but I'm glad it's not a totally no-go idea
