You have always been there, more than just a friend. You know just who I am and everywhere I've been.
You're the one who I can turn to, any hour of the day. Seems, I only have to think of you and you'll be on your way.
No matter where life takes me, no matter where I roam. When I'm with you my friend, my heart feels right at home.
So on my wedding day, I will need you more than ever. Please say you'll be my bridesmaid now.... and my friend forever

You've shared with me the special times, our friendship grows each day.
We've shared our secrets and our dreams, and laughed along the way. And now at this most special time as my wedding day nears, I would like to have you by my side to calm some jitters and dab the tears. When I am walking down the aisle a very happy bride, It would mean so very much to me to have you by my side.
On our wedding day next year we have a job that needs to be done we will let you decide what your wear and your are both choice number one Will you carry our wedding rings in the church on our wedding day when every one sings and Miss Thornton marries Mr Jay? So Master George and Master Thomas If you say yes you will bring us both joy We know you will be amazing, this we can promise

Today's my daughter's wedding day. And a wonderful thing it is; To see her so excited, So happy to be his.
But once she was my baby girl; My first born, love of my life. But now she is a woman, And just became his wife.
Once she was my baby girl, Loved her daddy, and her toys; But then, I couldn't stop it, She grew up, and loved the boys.
Today's my daughter's wedding day. How fast the time did go; From little feet, and Sesame Street, To a wedding gown it flowed.
From golden locks, and lollipops, She grew up straight and tall. From baby things, to a wedding ring; How I loved her through it all.
And now she will go forward, To enter married life. To share the good and bad times, The happiness, and the strife.
I wish them both, the best of luck; With a prayer that my eyes will see; That God will Bless them with a baby girl, Just like he gave to me...

Down the long trail he awaits me, at the other end I stand feeling free. Soon my life will no longer be mine, it will then soon be with him intertwined.
Is two heads always better then one, I keep on thinking is it going to be fun a smile or a frown which should I use, as I ponder on the color of my shoes
Everyone rushing and running around, looking to help me find the right gown. Not knowing who's to be invited there, matching the party up into pairs.
Reception is hard to many for seating, cash is to low not much for drinking or eating. The time has come, the music begun, down the trail I go thinking should I run.
As I get closer there he stands, waiting for me with his open hands. My heart beats faster as I get near, his smile, his eye, chasing away my fears.
I reach the end and by his side, I wonder if my lifes to die. but in three words he makes it all true, as he looks over at me and say I LOVE YOU.

This Day I Married My Best Friend
This day I married my best friend the one I laugh with as we share life's wonderous zest, as we find new enjoyments and experience all that's best. the one I live for because the world seems brighter as our happy times are better and our burdens feel much lighter. the one I love with every fiber of my soul. We used to feel vaguely incomplete, now together we are whole.

This wonderful place, which I never believed really existed, I have found Finally Inside your arms, Inside your heart, inside your love.

Her Big Day
My daughter’s getting married,
My mind is in a whirl,
It doesn’t seem five minutes
Since she was a little girl.
She’s dressed in gleaming satin,
A dream of pearls and lace,
Transformed into a princess,
Flushed excitement on her face.
What happened to my baby,
The toddler, then the child,
That moody, awkward youngster,
My teenager, sweet and wild?
This elegant young woman,
(Can life still be the same?)
Her love’s gone to another,
And she’s changing home and name.
So grown up and so lovely,
I feel I’ve lost her now,
But must not be selfish,
I’ll accept, I’ll cope somehow.
But what’s this in the mirror?
I see she’s near to tears,
I’ll put my arm around her,
Why! She’s full of doubt and fears.
At last I’ve reassured her,
And smiling at each other,
I know my daughter will not change,
I’ll always be her mother.

Something Blue
When you walk down the aisle as all brides will do, you'll need something to carry the color of blue.
So here is that something from my heart to yours, with all of my blessings to open life's doors.
This is for luck as your "something blue" and for tears of joy when saying "I do."
Then keep it among all your cherished loved things, that remind you of happiness life surely brings.
Wishing you Love and Joy as you Wed.

For those cat lovers- for fun
As you wed; from the cat
At first I smelled him on your clothes... A strangers scent upon my nose. Who is this man? I then asked, "Will I now be a cat outcast?"
And then a knock upon the door, my life would change forever more. You let him in, I watched you kiss, you didn't even hear me hiss.
You introduced him, said "He's nice", I was just as cold as ice. But then he scratched behind my ear, perhaps I'd been a bit severe.
And now you say that you will wed, I've just one question 'bout the bed... I understand he's yours to keep, but where, oh where, now will he sleep?

This is two Geeky readings I want for my wedding:
Quotes about love and people etc from who, that could make into a nice reading!
Look at them. What are their chances? That’s what makes it so brave and wonderful. Making a promise and going forward. Doesn’t matter what happens in the future. Right now it’s real, and it happens, and it’s true. The good things don’t always soften the bad, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant
When you're a kid, they tell you it's all... grow up. Get a job. Get married. Get a house. Have a kid, and that's it. But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It's so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.
We all change, when you think about it. We're all different people all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good, you've got to keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this. Not this day. I swear.
Slightly tweeked in places but are all from DoctorWho and Torchwood.

then one from Stardust movie
and extract from Stardust , a Stars Love
I know a lot about love. I’ve seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars... pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves... You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I’m trying to say is...I think I love you. Is this love? I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it’s trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I’d wish for nothing in exchange...no gifts. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.

A lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton
The fierce Dinosaur was trapped inside his cage of ice. Although it was cold he was happy in there. It was, after all, his cage.
Then along came the Lovely Other Dinosaur. The Lovely Other Dinosaur melted the Dinosaur's cage with kind words and loving thoughts.
I like this Dinosaur thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. Although he is fierce he is also tender and he is funny. He is also quite clever though I will not tell him this for now.
I like this Lovely Other Dinosaur, thought the Dinosaur. She is beautiful and she is different and she smells so nice. She is also a free spirit which is a quality I much admire in a dinosaur.
But he can be so distant and so peculiar at times, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. He is also overly fond of things. Are all Dinosaurs so overly fond of things?
But her mind skips from here to there so quickly thought the Dinosaur. She is also uncommonly keen on shopping. Are all Lovely Other Dinosaurs so uncommonly keen on shopping?
I will forgive his peculiarity and his concern for things, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. For they are part of what makes him a richly charactered individual.
I will forgive her skipping mind and her fondness for shopping, thought the Dinosaur. For she fills our life with beautiful thoughts and wonderful surprises. Besides, I am not unkeen on shopping either.
Now the Dinosaur and the Lovely Other Dinosaur are old. Look at them. Together they stand on the hill telling each other stories and feeling the warmth of the sun on their backs.
And that, my friends, is how it is with love. Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs together. For the sun is warm. And the world is a beautiful place.

Marriage
Marriage is about giving and taking And forging and forsaking Kissing and loving and pushing and shoving Caring and Sharing and screaming and swearing
About being together whatever the weather About being driven to the end of your tether About Sweetness and kindness And wisdom and blindness
It's about being strong when you're feeling quite weak It's about saying nothing when you're dying to speak It's about being wrong when you know you are right It's about giving in, before there's a fight It's about you two living as cheaply as one (you can give us a call if you know how that's done!)
Never heeding advice that was always well meant Never counting the cost until it's all spent And for you two today it's about to begin And for all that the two of you had to put in Some days filled with joy, and some days with sadness Too late you'll discover that marriage is madness.

I'll be there
By Louise Cuddon
I'll be there, my darling, Through thick and through thin When your mind's in a mess When your head's in a spin
When your plane's been delayed When you've missed the last train When life is just threatening To drive you insane
When your thrilling whodunit Has lost its last page When somebody tells you You're looking your age
When you coffee's too cool And your wine is too warm When the forecast said ???????fine??????? But you're out in a storm
When you ordered the Korma But got the Madras When you wake in the night And are sure you smell gas
When your quick-break hotel Is more like a slum And your holiday photos Show only your thumb
When you park for five minutes In a resident's bay And return to discover You've been towed away
When the jeans that you bought In hope or in haste Stick on your hips And won't reach round your waist
When the dentist looking into Your mouth and just sighs ..... When your heros turn out To be wimps in disguise
When the food you most like Brings you out in red rashes When as soon as you boot up The loathsome thing crashes
When you're in extra time And the other team scores When you're playing the jester But get no applause.
When you gaze at the stars And step on a nail. When you know you'll succeed But, somehow, you fail
When your horoscope tells you You'll have a good day So you ask for a rise And your boss says ???????No way???????
So my darling, my sweetheart, my dear.
When you spill your beer When you shed a tear
When you burn the toast When you miss the post
When you loose the plot When I'm all you've got
When you break a rile When you act the fool
When you're in a stew
Don't feel blue
-Cause I'm telling you:
I'll be there
I'll be there
I'll be there for you.

This is the reading we are having read by a friend of ours ....
The Art Of Marriage
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created. In marriage the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through all the years. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family. It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is not looking for perfection in each other. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humour. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow. It is a common search for the good and the beautiful. It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal. It is not only marrying the right person. It is being the right partner.

Today is finally the day That I will be the bride, I look at you to see A father gleaming with pride.
But first there are a few things That I would like to say, I love you more and more With every passing day.
I remember as a little girl I felt comfort in your arms, And hoping that some day I'd find A man with all of your charms.
I've found that man, daddy, That I do love so, But please know this Daddy, That my love for you will never go.
So as you walk me down the aisle, I know we'll shed some tears, And remember all the good times And love through all the years.
I am the bride today But in my eyes you'll see, That some things never change, "Daddy's Little Girl" I will always be.

I'm losing my boy And I know that I oughta Be jumping with joy That I’m gaining a daughter But...
The hemline's too high above the knee, She says wearing white is hypocrisy, There’s no sign of a veil to hide her face, And she’s gone for fur instead of lace. She looks bemused when I mention a train; Says they’ll be heading for Greece on a plane. No, it certainly wouldn’t be my kind of dress, But will she make him happy? Yes.
I'm losing my boy And I know that I oughta Be jumping with joy That I’m gaining a daughter But...
She says hats you only wear once are a waste, She has unruly hair and unusual taste. Shouldn’t we be spending money (and hours) Selecting the venue and picking the flowers? But it's Registry Office, a girl as best man, Pie and chips at the pub, and no seating plan. Whatever goes on in her head? I can’t guess, But will she make him happy? Yes.
I'm losing my boy And I know that I oughta Be jumping with joy That I'm gaining a daughter But...
She's having cup cakes in place of three tiers, Champagne is standing aside for cold beers, And where the diamond should be on her hand There's a miniscule pearl on a thin pewter band. I can’t say it’s quite what I would have chosen, But I bite my tongue. My smile is frozen. She's not who I'd imagined, I have to confess, But will she make him happy? Yes.

The band has been booked, the cake has been made, the photographer's chosen, all bills have been paid. The guests are decided, the menu too; Something borrowed? Check! Ditto old and blue.
The stationery's been ordered, along with the flowers, favours are done after fiddling for hours. The stag do's a blur, same goes for the Hen - won't be drinking that much in one sitting again!
The dress has been picked, accessories bought; there's nothing to schedule, no more to sort. After endless to-do lists for over a year, it's time to relax; the big day is here!
Sitting here with my girls as our hair gets done, I can't help feeling lucky to have found 'the One' - Just think, by lunchtime I'll be his new wife! Roll on the wedding, and our new married life!

One for the boys...
Wakey wakey open your eyes, Today is the best day in both of our lives. Today we'll be joined in matrimony, Us together my Princess, you and Me.
Climb out of bed my darling and begin to dress, I know today you’re sure to impress, With a flowing outfit I am longing to see, Made more perfect with your glowing, natural beauty.
Your hair’s been done perfect, your make up too, Soon we'll be married and my dreams will come true. At the church I'll be waiting for you to arrive, To begin the new chapter of the rest of our lives.
There at the church I eagerly wait, For you to arrive of course fashionably late, Over the brow the car does appear, Soon you'll be in my arms with nothing to fear.
The Wedding March begins the room filled with pride, To see the joining of love between myself and my bride, As you walk down the aisle the emotion is felt, And as my eyes fixes upon you my heart does melt.
The ceremony begins and love fills the air, The love we feel for each other so pure so rare, With tears in our eyes we say our I do's, And promise to each other this love we won't lose.
The ceremonies over, the register is signed, The woman I've married I was lucky to find, Next to the reception where good times awaits, To celebrate the love of two perfect soulmates.
At the reception the food begins to arrive, On each table conversations are alive, Two families mixing and be-coming one, New friends and acquaintances now the welcomes are done.
Soon are the speeches from best man and co., With smiles and warmth from laughter in flow, Then with the toasts to us the two, I gaze and feel my full love for you.
Now the first dance in front of our guests, Stood close together chest to chest, The music is flowing my heart begins to pull, My wife in my arms my life is now full.
The evening begins and the drinks start to flow, Everyone's dancing and enjoying the show, But times getting on and the room starts to empty, We thank them for coming and sharing emotions a-plenty.
The evening draws to a close and soon it will end, But never will our love with me and my best friend, Our memories of this day will last forever so true, And remember my wife I will always love you!

If you go to a wedding, here’s what it means No one wears trainers and no one wears jeans Your best new clothes are all that you wear And everyone in your whole family is there Even some cousins that you’ve never known And the grown-ups all say “Oh, how much you have grown!” So everyone’s sitting in one big room (except *brides name* and *grooms name* the bridge and groom)
Then all of a sudden things quieten down And music starts playing and people turn round And really slowly, *bride* walks in And she’s prettier now than she’s ever been.
She’s a bridge and she’s really great looking today (when normally she looks just kind of okay) She walks in and stands with her dad for a while As *groom* her boyfriend, awaits in the aisle His hair is all combed and he’s wearing a tie And then *brides mum* mum starts to sniffle and cry.
And now it comes time for the “get-married” part The Registrar says that we’re ready to start So she talks and she talks about serious things Then their friend *best man name* steps up holding two rings He gives one to the groom and the other to the bride Then his girlfriend, pulls him aside.
Then *bride* and *Groom* kind of look at each other And another big sniffle comes from Sally’s mother And Sally and Richard put on the wedding rings And they talk and they promise each other some things They promise that they’ll love each other a lot And help one another no matter what And be with each other the rest of their life Then the Registrar says “Now you are husband and wife”.
Then everyone’s in such a big happy mood And you go to a party with very much food Where you dance with some grown-ups and drink some wine And then do a conga-dance in one long line ‘till *Bride* and *groom* drive off in a car and everyone’s thinking how happy they are So we all yell goodbye and throw handfuls of rice Then the whole thing is over. Weddings are nice
