I'm going to a local hotel for a Disco Diva tribute night. Dinner and dancing until 1am (if we last that long!). My Mum is organising it and I think she has a surprise up her sleeve, because she asked me to delete an email she'd accidentally copied me into, without reading it!
CommentAuthorDonnaH39
Oooo that sounds interesting Charlotte, did you delete it then? Must have been hard not taking a peek :)
I find it hard enough not checking my mums messages knowing that I can find out by doing so ;) I'm a good girl though
CommentAuthorGlitterfairy
Oooo disco diva, that sounds brilliant.

I did delete Donna, but I was tempted to read it!
Glitterfairy we were going to do a Take That tribute night at the end of this month but it clashed with too many birthdays (my Mum's 60th and my Sister's Boyfriend).
OH has his stag night at the end of February and he hasn't got a clue what's happening!
CommentAuthorDonnaH39
Aghhh-so excited... talking to my bridesmaids and they've said a week before the hen I'll get a list of things I may or may not need, then the night before they'll tell me what we're doing :D
Charlotte, I think it sounds brilliant. Would so love to do something like that. We went to a decadance night recently, (not a hen do) where the music changed hourly.
In my hen night, we went to portsmouth dressed as where's wally. We done some shopping first, then we went to the some pubs and clubs.

I still don't really know what I want to do for my hen. I want to organise something myself rather than leaving it to my bridesmaids. I don't want to go out drinking and partying.. Thinking of maybe having one hen with just my 4 bridesmaids where we can really have fun and let our hair down, and then have a second one where I will invite my mum, auntie, step mum and other family members, maybe just a meal or something :)

I had a second one at home. My pals organised the night in portsmouth, but I helped with that, then I managed to get hubby to go out with his friends in town for a stag so I could have a second hen at home with my daughters and anyone who could not make it to the previnous one.

I think I'm having a second one with the ladies from work, but nothing has been said on that for a while. I might have to bring it up again ;) we were planning on leaving it until after I have done my exams, which will be nice.
CommentAuthorVictoriaL46
I know nearly nothing about my hen night. Bridesmaids are handling it with clear instructions of no bar hopping (I don't really drink) and no strippers. The most I know is that it will be the week before to allow friends from afar to come ad it will happen in stages so certain people are only there certain times and I will told how to dress and if I need anything a day or two before.
I don't even know the date yet but was told to ensure I have at least 5-6 days off before wedding.

I am thinking of just going for a meal with all of my family and friends so that everybody can come, plus I'm not a big drinker so anything like a night out I would hate haha. MOH said she would arrange it but I think I'd prefer to.

As I'm trying to keep costs to a minimum I think were just going to have everyone in a little black dress (most people own one) & I'll be in white. I said to my maid of honour about booking a cocktail class with 3 course meal in our local rev0luti0ns which is only £38 each, she is up for it but I know my fsil will complain, one of my friends already has!! They want a weekend away but I don't think I can afford it & won't know for a few months yet, FSIL did say everyone else will split my costs between them but I'm not happy doing that.

I think anything Disney, as it makes it easier for people

Well i have finally sorted my hen night i did fancy doing Its a Knockout Challenge in Manchester but it was going to work out too expensive by the time we paid for that then transport/accommodation then money for food & drinks...... So we're of to Blackpool from Friday to Sunday i the last weekend of April going with National Holidays its only costing £120 that includes transport/accommodation/breakfast/evening meal/and 6 drinks each on the Friday & Saturday night. xx
CommentAuthorDonnaH39
That sounds good starbabe. Good price and should be a great weekend
I can't wait for mine, looking up costume idea's already. Fiancé thinks I should buy the brainiac costume just in case-but I'm not sure whether I should try and put a costume together myself....
CommentAuthorprincesspixie
It would take a lot of organising and to be honest i think its too much work for my BM's (one will have a newborn and the other already has two children and is going back to work shortly) I luv the idea of everyone wearing LBD's except the bride and that would not take much to organise at all think i'll have to start leaving my BM's some tips lol and Flossie I always planned on a very messy hen do although these days it doesn't take much for things to get messy lol xx

Hi all,
I'm in the North West and I'm looking at booking my hen party soon!!
I would like a pamper day where me and all of my hens can relax with bubbly whilst being pampered... ideally, I'd like us to have a massage and a facial (with maybe a manicure thrown in for good measure?!
Afterwards, I'd like to go out for a few drinks and some dancing and then go back to our spa hotel for the night. Then a breakfast in the morning.
Does anyone know anywhere nice they would recommend. We would like to spend inder £80 each on the pamper package ideally.
All ideas/recommendations welcome (even for the night out part!).
Thanks in advance everyone :-) x

I don't know what to do for mine, I moved to devon so all closest friends live 3 hours or more away, I have a bridal crew of 5 men and women, I didn't want bridesmaids... but obvs will only have the ladies on my hen but I going to organise it all.. cant decide on whether to go a festival for the weekend in boutique camping or just get everyone to come down here but we all stay in a hotel near the sea and have a boat ride out by the bay and drink champagne while watch a sunset then go to a club.. .or something... mmmm, I finding it hard though to get the dates right so people can come.. and using facebook to try organise but sometimes takes a while to get a reply. . its hard isn't it getting people together for hopefully same date that people are free !! all your hens sounds great :) love the log cabin n hot tub thing too, I have been looking into yurt and hot tubs :)
Soooooo excited to be marrying my Best Friend !!

I'm starting to think about what I want to do for my hen now. I want a hen weekend away with the girls somewhere.. a city break abroad would be nice but probably quite pricey, and it's too early yet to gauge the prices on any travel websites. Might do some more research later on in the year, but currently thinking a weekend away in Bath. We can shop in the morning, followed by a spa session, then night out for cocktails (something classy).
Have looked into the prices for Bath spa which are actually quite reasonable. The 'Thermae Welcome' package is £45 per person for a 3 hour spa session which I think is really good for a Saturday. Most of their packages which include treatments seem to only be Sunday - Friday so this one might be a winner.. not sure if the girls would want any treatments anyway. Though I have also found The Bath Priory which offers a 'Garden Spa Treat' package at £55 per person which includes half a day's spa use (1.30 - 5.30) including a 30 minute treatment.
Not sure what we could do on the Sunday... I did say last night maybe we could include the next 50 Shades into our plans as apparently the release date for the next film is Valentine's Day next year, but not sure if a Feb hen would be too early.
Would have a second hen back home where I can invite all family and other friends. Probably just go out for a meal and then go to a couple of bars for drinks.. something for everyone then and shouldn't work out too pricey for anyone.
