Buying a wooden box, filling with straw and standing homemade confetti cones filled with natural petal confetti in it for our guests.

This box (will put lace and ribbon around it) so this sort of idea and here's my first cone but actuals will be nicer paper

Wow Kel, super organised. We've still got venue, photographer, suits, stag, honeymoon, photo booth, florist, magician and some smaller bits to pay for yet!! We've got the money in the bank but figured we may as well leave it there till we have to pay. The next biggy is paying the honeymoon - that's gonna leave a £2500 shaped hole in the wedding fund!! Then still around £3500 to pay venue (includes food) depending on numbers

Is it just me but when I get an invite to something I rsvp straight away but we sent ours 3 weeks ago and so far had 5 back! I know we've given till end June but I'd just do it so I don't forget.

we still need to make our minds up about our bloody honeymoon....!!!! arghhhhh

ive just got money sat in my account now not really doing anything as I don't know how much my cake is gunna cost yet, dj wants paying on the day and I don't want to pay the chair covers til I have my exact numbers, so we really could do with sorting the bloody honeymoon out lol

im sure people will understand its expensive and if we could have everyone there we would, and they appreciate the bump up :)

h2bs cousin had his on a Thursday and they had a fair few declines, but there were still LOADS of people there, and tbh, it was the best wedding ive ever been too, so don't panic just yet!! xxxxx

everything is almost paid off. £3200 for venue, 3 course meal for 50, buffett/bbq for 120, drinks and nibbles on arrival, bridal suite, chair covers and sashes, table decs, cake stand and knife, 3 drinks for the dinner and speeches. £2220 for photographer, d.j and cake it was all in one price as they a famil run company an also my slimming world reps. £375 left for registrar. Suits paid £535. Bridesmaid dresses paid and arrived about £200. Rings safe in the house. Our boss has very kindly offered us his car a mercedes hes also offered to drive me and dad to venue too. Just waiting on my shoes to arrive to the shop and £37 left on them. Daughters shoes at last minute. We not having a honeymoon i dont think but to be honest we not that bothered.
Just gotta pay for alterations and a few little bits and we done

Looking forward to a lovely weekend, once our little boy goes to his fathers on sat lunch time we're going to Leeds to look at a suit h2b has seen with the view of booking then we're off for late lunch and a few drinks. be nice to have a 'date' lol

I know D: I joined up here with like.... actually, I don't know how long to go, I was here ages before we set a proper date and even then there was over 600 days to go lol!!

Morning Ladies

Not been on here for a while, been busy renovating our house (why did we think that would be a good idea a few months before the wedding?! Thankfully it's almost finished now with just the finishing touches left to do).

You all seem pretty much sorted now :) we've given notice, designed and received our wedding bands (although mine needs resizing a little now), paid the majority of the bill, my dress arrived and I'm going for my first fitting in July (although I'll pop in to try it on before then...yay!), finalised the invitations, narrowed our ideal cake down to two we both love, we're having our food tasting this month at the venue and also discussing the centrepieces with their florist, all bouquets and buttonholes agreed and paid for... Think that's all so far. Still need to find a make up artist... Had a trial and I hated it :(

Hopefully you'll love your trials So ya, I'm sure you will. Take lots of photos and ideas but also trust the stylist/mua to give advice. The first one I had just used TOO much make up even though I wanted to look natural (don't wear a great deal of make up day to day) x

Sonya dont worry most people have them 4-6 weeks before the day, I only went early as i was really worried i wouldnt like it! x

My sisters just decided today she wants a hairdresser to do her hair instead of her doing it herself and she gets married in 12 days lol ... So don't worry sonya xx

Nice Velcro! Make sure I do a traditional Turkish bath but do it at the start of your holiday for two reasons. It exfoliates all of the dead skin so makes your tan last longer and if you have the slightest hint of sunburn it won't be a pleasant experience

We paid ours off today - that was a big hit to the wedding fund!!

Im not sure re. facial wipes.... I think id be paranoid about it getting on the dress, but if you love it youre gunna wanna see the complete look D: can you not step into your dress or does it go over your head?

aw that's a shame, but woo for the corset back, you don't have to be so strict when its lace up :D
