HI Everyone and congrats
We got engaged new years eve and are looking to marry in Sept 2014.....thats all so far!! you are all SO organised,we are struggling to decide to stay in UK or go abroad (Croatia/Cyprus) we went to a local wedding center yesterday and she was asking what sort of things we wanted.....and we really don't know - i was thinking we have so much time to decide - you have all piratically done everything! high fives all round!!
I know what sort of dress i want and im hoping to go try some on in the next few weeks
Ive literally just got my act together over the last week or so after faffing around for aaaages haha! You might wanna get onto a registrar anbout your dates if youre staying in the UK though, i was shocked when i rang up last week and they had very few spaces left, they had 11 am, 4pm 4:30, 5:30 and 6pm left! Lucky for me, I needed that 4pm one, or I would have been stuffed!
Got my mum to agree to pay for my dress, which ive already bought lol so that's 500 quid back in the bank :D
Im off to a wedding fair in march, im rather hoping il find a seamstress there - but im not sure if you can, does anyone know???

Not sure on that! My mother in law to be has a bridal shop...so I am extremely lucky in that sense!
Booked our registrar last Friday and paid the deposit! Now it is all official, I can begin on planning around the date now :)

Hi all, am also a September 2014 bride, also the 13th!! :D Not got too far with planning so far, have got some of the smaller bits, booked and paid deposit for reception and got ceremony sorted :D planning a budget wedding so looking out for good deals and stuff xxx

I've been getting a bit more organised! Dress bought, Bridesmaid dresses and jackets bought, Venue booked and deposit paid, Registrar booked, Photographer and videographer booked, Bridesmaid and flower girl bouquets bought (artifical due to allergies)
Lots of other bits organised but not bought yet, off to a wedding fair at our venue next month so hoping to get some more sorted then.

Hi all we booked our wedding last week for 20th September 2014, choose that date as its the closest Saturday to our anniversary which is the 23rd September .. So far we have booked the big things like venue and registrar as well as hair/make up lady and have got some quotes on photographer :) xx

Awww bless you hun, I know how you feel, all the excitement just gets you in the mood to plan stuff doesn't it? :-D xxx I think beforehand, you think of all there is to plan and it seems such a huge task, then when you actually come to do it, you find you can book stuff and buy stuff early on and you manage to get quite a lot done without it taking much time and it does surprise you xxx

it really does, i wish i could do it all now but not possible money wise. my Maid of honor cant believe how organised we are either, she said it took us ages to book our wedding and sort things out. I think with us already having a house and kids it makes us be more organised since we've had to set ourselves on a strict monthly budget so we can save for the wedding xx

Awww i know hun, you just want to get it all sorted and in order don't you hun? Aww that's very true, it's good to set an amount you'll need to save each month so you can see what your total budget is and work around it :-) xxx Things cost so much now, that it's difficult to be able to sort anything for a while xxx

It is very expensive like was showing my mam things and she couldn't believe the price of things. We've been lucky and found a venue that gives us practicly everything in a really good price just we have ended up with a strict amount of numbers for the day time so can only have 40 adult guests but we only want a small wedding any ways with out closest family and friends so it has worked out quite nicely that way xx

We had a meeting with our wedding planner today and she says we're really organised.... She said cos of how organised we are,we could have been prepared to get married in 4 weeks..... :-(. I just said if it wasn't about the money and having to save to pay it all off, then we'd probably have had it a lot sooner,... Happy to think that we are organised tho, means we're not forgetting anything x

It really does cost alot we would get married this year if it was cheaper ! we just finding ways to make it cheaper as well ... we getting married in a hotel so the cost of a room the night before the wedding is half the price of the cost of cars so we have decide me and my daughter will sleep there the night before and just getting ready there in the morning the hotel are happy for us to do that as well was their idea. I was thinking of doing my own wedding cake but other half recons it would stress me too much as wouldn't have the time but we have plenty of time to decide on that ! luckily my auntie does cakes as well so if i cant do it im sure she will :) xx

spoke to a lady about my cake today, she seemed very excited over my doctor who theme, so i know il get a good deal s she said she really really wants to do my cake!
im shocked at how organised i seem to be at the moment, this is so unlike me lol!

There is lots of land outside too cos the barn is in a country park estate so I'd like to incorporate leaves in there maybe on the tables to bring in green,then the sages to be beige and green with the lace overlay then the bridesmaids will be a mix of green and beige x
