I've looked on there, lots getting married at the beginning,not so many I've seen towards the end and 6months is a long distance for planning, the ones at beginning are at a completely different planning phase to me :-(

Mines sept 13th,we've just got to have another £750 to put towards the deposit by may then we'll be on track and we're pretty much on that from saving like mad since nov 3rd xx

My h2b doesn't live with me, he lives with his parents and his mums stopped taking rent n stuff off him so he can fully save, I can't save as much as I have bills etc but I made this clear and he's ok with it xx

That's what it's like with me,it's cos I've got 3girls so seem to spend about £80 a week on food on top of other bills...it all adds up...I said I'm gonna properly start saving after Xmas.... I've bought one of those large wedding fund pots that u have to break to get ur money out and I've half filled that, and money from engagement party went in there too x

This is my second wedding, having divorced this year. I have two children and my fiancé has two children so its an amalgamation of families.
We met online a couple of years ago having both split from our spouses and he proposed in Rome a month ago and I am wasting no time, on his orders! My only limitations are financial. But we are saving and have a budget of about £8000 if we save well :-) here is hoping!
Hope everyone else is planning well, once we get over the date\venue hurdle we can really move forward! X

I'm new to the forum (well, I joined a while ago but haven't posted until now!) and we're getting married 6th September 2014. I'm very excited!
As we want a really relaxed feel to the day, we have opted for a 5pm ceremony then on to an informal 'afternoon tea', followed by drinks, dancing and buffet reception.
I'm looking forward to getting started with the rest of planning!

Argh, dresses .. Sore subject lol. I've found THE dress but can't find ANYWHERE in the UK that stocks it :( So I'm thinking about getting a replica if their version is good enough!! There's some pics of it on my wall.

I really like vintage, mermaid/fishtail type dresses and there seems to be a lot to choose from in bridal shops at the minute so I'm hoping I find one I love pretty easily... I'll let you know how I get on! xx

15th September 2014 hoping for going for that as its our anniversary so he won't need to remember to many dates :) wedding rings is all I have done so far :/ organising guest list for numbers and then we can book the right venue got the deposit waiting so as soon. As find the right venue fingers crossed the ball will start rolling :/

We decided to change the date of our wedding from 13th September this year to 13th September next year. That way we can save up properly and have the things that we really want. I'm 27th September 2014. Can't wait, although time seems to be ticking away pretty fast at the mo!! :-/
So far we have
church booked reception booked grooms clothes hire paid for my dress is on order and slowly getting paid by my mum bridesmaid dresses have been ordered and getting paid for sourced cars - just need to pay deposit sourced photographer - just need to pay deposit we know what we want for rings, just need again to get a deposit for that then we can start slowly paying those off i'm making my own cake with help from a family friend
only thing i need to source now is a florist!!

Youre more organised than we are, we've booked the venue and that is it. We dont know whether we want cars or accomodation
The venue is doing the catering so thats a big one we dont need to worry about at least.
Not looked at any dresses/suits!
Im ok for wedding ring at least, I have my grandmas, he just needs to get one for him

Tbh Velcro I'm not that organised,it's just that the decorating part comes with the venue so it takes a lot off my mind as my venue is run by a wedding planning company so they do a lot for us in terms of the venue.... Are u getting married in church,if not then I recommend ringing and booking ur registrar,it costs £15 to prebook which I didn't realise and got the last slot on 13th sep 2014 and that was ringing the other day...yours is the same day as mine isn't it,so I'd recommend definitely doing that if u haven't alreadyxx

U ring your local council, and they can put u through or your town/city hall, if u google ur local registrar for births,deaths,marriages...u must have got ur child's birth certificate? That's who u ring?... I'd definitely do that straight away,I thought u did it when giving notice but if we'd waited we would have had to move our day as I think our day would have been fully booked,no one to marry us lol

Ive moved, so im not under the same council anymore, it would be rochdale now, but im getting married in manchester, so would i still need to ring rochdale council, or would it be manchesters as Im getting married there?!

It's not the end of the world if we do have to push it back a couple of weeks, as our wedding organiser said she's still got all 2014 dates free, guess ive got some phone calls to be making tomorrow haha!

If ur getting married in Manchester u book a registrar from there, then when u give notice at the 12month mark,u do that at the registry office where u now live.... I know it's very confusing!
