I know I'm looking forward to bringing them home to try...don't wanna mingle in there too long as I find wedding fares are like a pack of lions hunting the brides to be! So will be picking up the box she has for me and doing a swift departure lol... I have everything booked apart from a band and I've never seen a band at a wedding fayre so not interested in sticking around x

I've just ordered the bridesmaids a small pearl and diamanté clutch bag as part of their gift and they've said they'd actually prefer to have it instead of a bouquet, with maybe a wrist corsage... Do you all think that'll look okay? X

I'm normally really organised Kelbel but for some reason not when it comes to the wedding! We've paid half off the cars though, we're paying half off our indoor marquee in a couple of weeks and have our deposit down on the jukebox. Plus have booked makeup trials, nails, eyebrows and make up on the day for me and my mum but not paid anything off that yet. Village hall is paid too so we're getting there slowly but surely! Finding my dress is my next priority!!! :-)

Hi Bev, I've done nothing BUT think about it! From what I've tried on it seems I suit a sweetheart neckline, lace-up back, and quite fitted around the waist and hips, but not quite as much as 'mermaid 'style. Something a bit like Mori Lee 1866 (I don't know how to add pics) but I haven't tried that one on yet. I like the look of it though! I also like Mori Lee 1913 and 1915. Thinking of a chapel length veil to go with it too. There are only a couple of wedding dress shops in my town so need to find time (and someone to drive me!) to look further afield!

This is the problem I'm having Velcro, 9/10 of the dresses I've tried on I love! They're all just so pretty and I can't make my mind up! After not trying any on for several months, and after buying more bits for the wedding, I've had time to think..and I definitely want something along these lines :-)

I was worried I wouldn't find a dress cos I loved lots I tried on but was getting concerned none felt like 'the one'. Then when I found my dress I knew it was 'THE ONE'!

I've just bought some yellow and white stripy paper straws and some east of India washi tape that say 'with love' and 'mr and mrs' which I'm gonna turn into little flags to wrap round the straws... Hoping to have jars to put the arrival drinks in and use these straws

I've just bought some of those paper stripey straws too in pink and green! They're lovely! Lovely idea with the jam jars, they'll look great! We've made some progress this last couple of days, booked our photographer and mobile bar! Went to a wedding fayre on Sunday too and had a sit in our wedding car :-) So excited!

We were told that if you preliminarily book your date at your venue,u need to make an appointment within a month from the 1yr mark otherwise u could lose ur slot because you've only paid a deposit...it doesn't matter when u give notice as long as the office that houses the registrar that's marrying you knows the date ur giving notice... So with me cos were getting married in a different district to where we give notice,I rang ours to get the appointment then I'm about to ring Scunthorpe to tell them the date were giving notice so they know I've made an appointment x
You can make an appointment between anytime from next week to 16 days before as long as you let the other office know, if the same office is doing your notice and service then they'll already know x
