mines abit confusing, I know I need to give notice at Rochdale council as that's the borough we fall under, but we've paid Manchester council as that's where we're getting married (despite living in Manchester as well, weirdos) I cant remember if I need to confirm anything with MCC or if I just need to ring our local one... I suppose the Rochdale one will tell me what I need to do haha

I just paid the full amount to get it out of the way (plus any price increase wont affect us then haha) was gutted to find out you had to pay to give notice as well!!! the cheek of it

That is bad! Surely that is age discrimination!? Tbh I wouldn't go back, the entertainment for the kids was terrible. We took h2b's daughter and went with our friends and their daughter (my other flower girl). We also got the distinct impression staff looked down their noses at us cos we were camping in a tent rather than renting one of the statics

And secondly do you think the hers one will go with my engagement ring, as they are to order only the ring in the store is too small to try on my wedding finger and too big to see what it would look like on my pinkie?

Yeah I was worried about that too KelBel.... and now I am more confused as a few other people say it would go.... but I'm not 100% sure if it will go.... I love the Wedding rings and they are a bargain at £950 for both but not too sure whether they go together.... It's not that big its just the angle I think xx

I always think of Friday the 13th as a lucky day, I have several relatives born on the 13th.

I guess for me it's just giving notice that falls like that as we get married on Friday the 12th next year so won't ever have the 13th again. But yeah for you every 7th year will fall like that

Hi all, I haven't been around for a bit been busy with work etc but I've been busy planning too :) Just playing catch up seeing what you all have bee up too. Kelbel I can't believe you have invitations sent out already, how organised are you :) and £79 is a major rip off :(
My up dated done list is:
Deposits paid for: flowers, cake, venue,chair covers,dvd man, photographer, dj & dancefloor, suit hire, hair & make up
Totally bought are our wedding rings, my shoes, tiara,my dress is in store & im going to see it on the 28th to pay the outstanding balance & take it home, nearly exactly 1 year to soon haha. I'm planning on either getting bm dresses in jan sale from high street or getting copies made from her who can't be named, my dress was waaay over budget so trying to make cut backs in all the right places :)

How's everyone else getting on?
Going to start buying bits & pieces for invites, centre pieces.
I think that's everything at the minute,hope there's nothing major i've forgot :)

Hi Girls!

Not been on here for a while... We're at the year mark now!!!

Called the registry office this morning to book a date to give notice and was told they hadn't got round to signing off our venues wedding license application yet! They said everything has been checked and they are just processing the final stages . The venue only officially launched in May/June. Looks like I'll have to wait a while longer yet...

I'm excited its less than a year now though! Looking forward to getting measured for my dress! Can not wait to wear it again :)

Have just looked through my to do list and can't believe how much we have booked! All that's left to do is order bridesmaid dresses (all chosen just need to wait unt the children grow up a bit) flower girl dress needs sorting, suits and gifts! Apart from that very things sorted - just need to pay for it all now :-/
