    So, here's a Q.

We're getting married at 2pm on a Friday, we'll have the reception at 7:30pm on the evening.
If I send STD cards, do I just send them to everyone who is coming to the wedding, or everyone who is coming on the whole day? And then invites, do I send them to everyone too? :S Thanks girls x

We are planning to send two types of STD cards - day ones and night ones (we are making them ourselves so additional costs will be minimal) as our wedding is Easter Saturday 2012.

Then we'll send the 'actual' invites (day and night separate) about 6 months before.

Go for whatever suits you best :o)

We are sending STD cards out to everyone as our wedding is on a Thursday, we will be doing separate day and night invitations thou as we are having a small ceremony and wedding breakfast (less than 30) and a larger evening reception (+100 and growing) =)

We sent STDs to the people we were inviting to the whole thing, then invitations to them all. We sent evening invites about a month after the day invites, and we did bump a few people from the evening to the day.

I've just sent my STDs out today for the 40 people we are inviting to the daytime reception. Won't send STDs to the evening guests - will just send their invites out next year. I have received STDs before now and was confused as to whether I was invited to the whole wedding or just the evening - it was only when I received the invitation did it clear up the confusion. There's nothing worse than expecting a whole day wedding invite then only receiving the evening one ha!

We're not doing save the dates. My mum is writing to relatives who live on other continents and those who are invited to both our wedding and my cousin's two weeks later (which she booked after she'd known about ours for two and a half months).

I've told my friends the wedding date and also told a lot of them that they'll probably be evening only due to the sheer numbers of family guests we're having during the day.
