We have got a selfie stick to go on each of the table at the meal and I've bought cheap ones as won't mind people taking them home then, but thought be nice to have a little label attached them with a little message about taking photos but can they be added to the app. Has anyone got any nice little sayings that we can put on the tags? ( will get the name of the app when I look at paperwork later as can't think of it off top of my head)

MrsC2bee, i like the idea of putting selfie sticks on tables.....

We have hired a phoobooth so do you think it would be a waste of time?. Saying that, people will use the stick throughout the meal and during the night rather than leave their seats!

Where did you get the cheap ones from if you dont mind me asking?

We are having a booth too but I think it just adds abit more of a laugh and hopefully will give people something to talk about too. I've put a photo of the ones I have in my album centrepieces. They do with with different colour ends too but I wanted black as didn't have the colour we are having. I got them from the bay of e :) cost approx £3.00something each and ordered from a lovely company as when they got here one didn't work ( as checked them all) and they sent another one out straight away do we have them all ready and working now.
Emily that message is perfect thank you :) yes I think it is w3dp1cs :) will get some made up soon :) thank you x

Sounds a great idea and will definitely be worth a few laughs during and after the wedding!

Never seen w3dp1cs but will check it out, another option is to have an Instagram tag people can use when uploading pics. Very popular site/app and some people will be more willing to quickly upload to an app they already have rather than installing a new one or going on a site they haven't used.

It's a fab idea MrsC, we will be having a selfie stick as part of our DIY photobooth but will also be asking guests to take photos throughout the day using their phones. We will probably also ask guests to upload their snaps to W3dp1cs - had been considering making a wedding hashtag and allowing people to upload to FB/1nst@gr@m, but at least with W3dp1cs you know only people who have signed up to your wedding can view the pics, not just anyone!

Flossie, you took the words from me. That is what I love about w3dp1cs that only the people signed up to your wedding can use it.

At first I wasn't bothered about pics being put on FB and 1nst@gr@m, but the more time goes on and the closer the wedding gets I'm finding I am leaning more towards w3dp1cs!

You can get your guests to download it and sign up etc before the wedding too so they will have time to have a little play with it and get used to it. I'm thinking about posting a message in our event page on FB a little nearer the time explaining that we'd like people to download it and use it on the day.

Will also have a notice on the day with our wedding ID etc. for those who haven't yet downloaded it.

This is such a good idea! A friend of mine just got married and she didn't want people uploading pictures before the wedding pictures came out, but I think a selfie stick is such a good idea.

I'm thinking of having the w3dp1c I.d somewhere on the invites although will have wifi at the venue. We have some little a5 cards saying about certain photos to catch and a # option on there Aswell as the w3dp1c I.d x
