We're getting married on a beach in Thailand in April and we haven't invited anyone at all. My parents know but other than that no one has any idea what we are planning. In fact the majority of our family and friends will find out on Facebook. Eeeek!
We are pretty much all sorted - my dress is due to arrive next week, the rings are ordered and we have the most beautiful day planned together.
Are there any little touches that anyone can think of to make our day even more special. We have a photographer and videographer booked but as there isn't any guests we're looking for ways to jazz up the pics.
Any ideas for our big day would be much appreciated!
As the wedding is a secret we plan not to have a party when we get home - just because we figure some people will be miffed at not knowing. Therefore we may have a party for our one year anniversary instead. Obviously this means we wont have a guest book or anything like that either so any fun things for memories of the day would be good too.

I do love Pinterest - although can't pin anything of my own because the wedding is secret and my account is public and linked to Facebook!
All of the pins are generally ideas for weddings with guests though!

You can create a secret board on there, that's what I've done, as our theme is secret :) Can you not search for bride & groom only pics? I have loads on my board lol xx

If I wasn't that bothered about my family or his ( both very large families) I would love to do the same as you. So would h2b. My moh won a comp for a wedding in Thailand a couple of years ago so she had a English wedding and one abroad and she said if she had to drop either it would be the English one. She said that they're absolutely fantastic over there to make your day wonderful. Don't worry too much about planning every little detail and just go with the flow xx

Hi, we got married in Vegas and had just 8 guests with us, so slightly different. We also had a blessing in our local park and a party a month after the wedding, so the people that couldn't come (inc one of my BM's and hubby's family) still felt as though they were part of something. This was the only way that people were vaguely OK that we got married abroad. I was shocked by some peoples responses when I said we were getting married abroad - all of a sudden it became all about them! I'm not trying to put you off - I would do it all over again - I just want you to be aware that some people may get narky with you when they find out. Oh and when hubby proposed to me we were abroad so I emailed my BM's then posted on FB and one of them still hit the roof that I'd 'announced' it on FB before speaking to her!

Sounds amazing, try not to let family and friends get you down. It is your day and you get married the way you want to as those memories will last forever. They will get over the fact you got married abroad. So just enjoy your planning and your wedding
