I don't think it would confuse people. I'd have it laid out on the table how the table's will actually be laid out. So the top table in the middle in the biggest frame and then 4 frames each side of the big frames if that makes sense lol x

I have 8 tables and the top table so I think it works out really well, would look great. I think I might do this, I don't really like the normal traditional seating plan x

It could work well if you have the space for a table for these frames. Are your tables numbered or named? and are the frames numbered or named, rather then just placing them in the pattern that your tables are....alot of guests would probably overlook the placing of the frames, and be scrolling down the list of every name in each frame.

i love it, I would agree with Kev's Angel and put somewhere the number/name of table as people might not realise that the actual position of the frames mean something and also for people that might not be able to see very well they might pick up the frame and place it back down in the wrong place. But definatly go with this idea!

I love it! But not sure if it will be too small, think you may have to get bigger frames. Have you thought about a big mirror frame and sticking the table lists on it?

TBH I'm not sure. I like the idea behind it but not the frames that they have chosen for it. If I were having them all random and mismatched I would still make them the same colours. I hate the gold one mixed in with all the others.

I like the idea, but not the frames, mainly coz i like things that match, i like the idea of having a bigger frame for the top table, but if i was to do this, all of the other frames would match

I love it! I have made loads of the traditional table plans and even they confuse people ha ha, so I wouldnt worry about that! It is differnt and novel without being tacky!!! Fab!
