Hi I have a ruff guest list, as my wedding is still 2 years away I sure it will change but family wont change so I would like to get the main people into a seating plan.
My question is how many people do you have per table?
thanks

Thanks I have too many little flower girls and parents and step parents to have all on top table. So what I was going to do was have all flower girls, page boys and bridesmaids sat in their family groups and just have parents, step parents and best man on top table that still gives us 10 people on top table.
just hard sitting family together when some dont want to sit near each other and other want to but there is to many people lol

It depends on what your venue does. We are having 7 tables with 11 people on and for the top table we are having 6 on that one.
The best thing to do is ask your venue what they think will work better so the tables aren't too crowded.

I wouldnt worry over a table plan now as things will change between now and then... we can only have 8-10 people per table on ours but you need to speak to your venue and see how big/small the tables are.
Finally marrying the love of my life !!
10th August 2013 - 9 years to the day we met !
Our top table is 10 and then we have 65 (plus a few children) to fit round other tables so probably going to put 8 at each x

I think the norm is 8, make sure you get it confirmed as we did our tables with 10 each and were told this would be too squashed for seating so 2 weeks before had to re-do the plan, giving us 2 extra tables and 2 more centrepieces to make last minute! Got there though!

It definitely depends on your venue. We recently visited our venue and asked for ideas about seating plans and the coordinator told us it depends on the final numbers who are coming. He showed us a few optional plans depending on whether we wanted round or rectangular tables, and how they would be arranged in the room and how many would be at them depending on the final number - so there was an arrangement for 120 guests rectangular tables, 120 guests round tables, 150 guests rectangular....etc. Hope that helps :)
