    Hi

I was wondering - is the big board that has the seating plan on usually supplied by the venue? My place does not mention it.

I think you can buy them to make your own but a lot of venues provide them...I guess it depends if you want it to match your theme or not xx

I know that a few hotels will make up seating plans however I think its more commonly heard of that the couple supply this! Im planning on making mine hun...that way I can design it around my theme and can make last minute changes if necessary! xxx

Yep - I'm guessing we supply it if they don't mention it. Perhaps I'll make one myself. A theme for mine is starting to form in my mind - I just don't know if I can be bothered to do it!

Some venues do include it in their package deal or if you specifically request it. If they dont have one then the bay of E have them under "table planner" search or a few large stationary companies would be able to supply you with a large board if you wish to make one yourself. xx

Our venue does supply one put it is very basic and plain so I am giving the wedding coordinator some bits to add to it to tie in with our theme. She doesnt charge for this if we are supplying the added bits. We found that local companies who do do them and are on the recommended supplier list for our hotel venue were very expensive for what you got, so it definitely is a good idea to make your own if the venue doesnt supply a basic one. Happy crafting. xx

I made mine myself, I had all the printing done on card because my home printer wasn't capable but everything else I made, I would say stick to a fairly simple design for the tables and accessorise haha, I got my boards from Ryman Stationers & all the bits/bobs from a craft shop. :)

I have bought a big piece of card to go with my colour scheme that I am going to use - may also buy a frame to put it in if I have enough money! Have got some mirror card and then will print off names for each table - am hoping this will look ok! xx

Roxi...for example say your having 10 tables per table. You would draw up 10 lists....table 1, table 2, table 3 etc etc mounted on board. The guest looks to see what table their name is under and then whenever they enter the dining hall can go automatically to that particular table, no messing about or loitering...they look for name card and sit!!! Type seating plan into google and youll get a clearer pic! Think its a great way to organize guests and arrange them together xxxx

I am making my own too! I intend to use cut out squares of card and stick them on a bigger board, that way I can decorate it all and just print out and stick the smaller squares with peoples names on nearer the time. I think we are having 1980's pop groups for our table names ... should make everyone laugh .. we are gonna be Dollar pmsl

I like that idea! I am thinking of just dividing the tables up between me and Chris and naming them after out favourite things.

What other bands are you having?
